He’s not firing his son.

I would rather have Rick Moranis from Little Giants coaching QBs than Jon.

But.. you are 100% correct. And its absolutely ridiculous. Jon has had his QB room suspended, transfer and/or regress. He cannot recruit. He cannot coach. He has no idea what he's doing. If Richt were evaluating him on paper without knowing his last name, he would fire Jon before he even finished reading.

Would Mark Richt the father, feel comfortable with his son to playing for and "learning" from Jon the coach? I seriously doubt it.

Since we are stuck with him, my HOPE is that Jon is the one moved to full time ST coach, freeing up the QB coach position for.. ANYONE ELSE, including Kenneth. But just maybe ST would be Jon's niche.

Show me one please. Call in someone with a pulse that is under 40.
He's behind the woodshed,no there on the beach not there.cmr went to bed had a vision he's the oc but to please the fans he will send out a search party out into the local neighborhood to look for one.

Diaz was DC/LB coach but they still promoted Patke to be the 10th assistant & coach OLB's, so with Banda moving up they can still promote DVD to coach Nickel Corners or some kinda fancy title like that.

Banda is the full time DC now, he'll still work with the Safeties but he can't just exclusively work with one unit, he has run the whole Defense overall, while Patke will essentially be the LB coach, they still need another on field assistant somewhere.

I'd rather them double up on an experienced LB coach, who could also handle ST duties. Really hoping they bring in Michael Barrow for experience on the defensive side.

If Jon Richt must stay....reassign him to Special Teams exclusively then bring Briles as OC/QB coach. Problem solved. Everybody wins.

I actually think Patke will be the main point guy, not Banda.

Supposedly he’s the brighter of the two.

I hope Jon is moved to the cleaning crew.

Relax guys.

Blake promises he will try to meet with RICHt starting tomorrow to see what RICHt wants to do.

Mark has all the OCs he wants and is not hiring another. Maybe next year if he needs one to keep his job. The man wants to prove he is O genius rather than prove he is great HC by winning a NC. We need to focus on getting rid of him as quickly as possible and best way to do that is to attack his son without mercy. We need to make him so miserable he quits.

Last year was like the sun bursting out of years for darkness. Now he has proved is was nothing more than luck and a baseball player having a massively over performing year plus endless turnovers. It had nothing to do with Mark or his staff. At his best at UGA he would have been fired here in five years. Man does not have Cane in him.

Can co-DC work? I believe in having one person ultimately responsible….one neck to ring!. Who calls the plays? Egos can get in the way. Responsibilities should be very clear to properly judge each DC. This will need micro managing / oversight by CMR.

These two gentlemen clearly lack experience coaching at this level. Specially Patke, who has less than a year as an official coach. So, their abilities to strategize, think tactically, recruit and run a defense best be second to none. This needs assistance by CMR.

What about Rump? Every defensive coach got promoted with a leadership title, is he the lone grunt? How does he feel? Is he OK taking orders from two younger coaches one that just became a coach a few months ago? Is there a problem about to happen here? This needs oversight by CMR.

DCs deal with players personal issues, disciplining, recruiting decisions, etc. Even if they are ready for the football side of the job, they lack the overall coaching / leadership experience.

SO, in order for this to work, CMR MUST name an OC. Let the OC run the offense and he must assist/coach/mentor/help the defense coaches with leadership issues as he should do with the offense. Allowing the DC/OC to make football/plays decision. CMR needs to micro-manage and help the coaches!

CMR NOW more than ever has no choice but to become a CEO.

This would seem like a logical way of thinking which makes me think Richt wont do it.
