So what’s the fascination with what looks like a failure AD for a G5 college? I get that it’s Mew Mexico but are they better for him being there? To me is seems he did nothing to help their program but because he’s a Miami native we are going to hire him? Sounds like nepotism at its best

Nunez doesn’t have a bad resume. Is he my preferred hire? No. Is his resume indicative of experience miles better than Blake? Absolutely.

There’s arguments to not bring him here. Most of the stuff I’ve seen though is that he’s disliked because he’s not Jurich.
Exactly this.

I know of subdivisions of State government in Cali (not Washington) giving employees who interact with the public the option to test weekly if they refuse a vaccination. If they refuse that too they get canned. Let’s not make this into a politics thread. You don’t know if he was following a policy from the Board, the President… Dude is apparently well-regarded.
It was a mandate for all state employees.

Happy to differ but there is only one legal test. As a military lawyer I dealt with these all the time. The legal standard has absolutely nothing to do with a church's position. What matters is if he has true and sincere religious belief. All exemptions are written this way because you don't want to go down the rabbit hole of telling people how to interpret their faith. There is a huge contingent of catholic bishops who say the vaccine should be refused because it was derived from aborted fetal tissue. It's not the ADs job to say "I believe the group of bishops who say catholics can get the exemption over the group that says you shouldnt."

now that doesn't mean he gets to go around coughing on everyone without a mask. The correct way to deal with the religious exemption is to err on the side of person requesting it (religious freedom being a fundamental right) and then put all sorts of conditions like constant testing, distancing, etc. If he violates the conditions, then he can be fired for cause. Any halfway competent AD should know this. WSU is going to lose the lawsuit and will be paying Rolovich a lot of money, especially since the school initially granted the exemption and Chung overturned it. The lawsuit (which Rolovich will win) will be 100% on Chung. He had a very easy way of accommodating the exemption while giving WSU and airtight reason to fire him for cause if he violated the accomodations. Any AD too dumb to know this, or so politically motivated he ignores basic steps that would make sure WSU was on firm ground if it terminated Rolovich, should not be a candidate for AD.
I have family in WA state and followed this closely. The coach ****ed off the president of WSU and the governor. You can't blame the AD for this. Above his pay grade.

Who else besides Epstein? Call em out. I'm not interested in protecting identities of people who are actively trying to destroy something we all love so much. Call em out. Name names. There needs to be some accountability.
I'd love to hear a response to that... This would be priceless @Cribby care to take a stab at that one? It's always amusing when I read through these threads.

Alex Mirabal in the canes twitter space chat thing (whatever that is) with his team in pursuit of a pac 12 championship and potential playoff berth on the line tells me all I need to know.

There’s been enough tea leaves out there to connect some dots….
Serious question because I don't know and don't know how that twitter space thing works - Are these verified accounts? I've seen how accounts can be made to look the same but just a change in a character makes them not real. Also saw that Nunez was also in on possibly the same chat.

you have some dog **** instincts because it's never going to happen.

Follow the breadcrumbs, amigo.

Who is Miami football’s biggest benefactor?

Jose Mas.

The guy who seemingly showed up out of nowhere…why just a few months ago, all anyone ever talked about was Soffer and DiMare….nobody ever heard of Jose Mas because he wasn’t involved until now.

And what does our newfound billionaire friend do for a living, you ask? He’s the CEO of MasTec.

And what is MasTec, you may be saying to yourself? Why it’s one of the biggest construction and infrastructure companies in the country for all manner of complex projects.

Curious indeed.

If I had to create a trustee in a test tube whose only purpose in life was to build Miami a stadium, it would be Jose Mas.

Piece it together yourself.
