On Zion Nelson

No knock on the kid at all, but not sure he gets drafted if he doesn't return. I'm no draft expert but with such little film and being "injury prone" up to this point not sure if anyone takes a chance on him. Personally I hope he comes back. I mean he hasn't really played all year.

I think he played against A&M and it wasn't much

Kid is either coming back next year or transferring

But hey I’ve been shocked with kids leaving to go be UDFAs and not even make a practice roster so who knows…

Yes he does. His first year was 2019. He'd be a 5th year player next season.

He's only played in one game this season and hasn't redshirted previously, so he could technically RS this season and have two more seasons of eligibility w/ the covid year.

It's not happening, but he'll have 2 seasons of eligibility after this one.

What in the fvck is wrong with you?

Do you think he was talking about Feld?

Its a tough situation. On one hand you dont want to risk another injury and long term financial stability so you declare and leave.

On the other an injured OL with only 1 good year of pass blocking under his belt isnt screaming take me in the first 3 rounds.

Which means its much easier to cut a guy further down in the draft in year 1 or 2. I'd love to see him get healthy, come back and put up a full legit season.

But this is probably one of the few guys who if they left early it would be tough to argue and I'd just hope he has an unreal camp/pre-season for whoever takes him to see the potential
The likelyhood of Zion getting drafted at this point is about the same as me getting drafted.

Not sure if one thing has anything to do with the other, but he gained an enormous amount of weight very quickly when he got here. I understand he needed the weight, but the speed he added the weight was "incredible. "

His film cost him money
Nah, he has shown improvement every season since he's been here. That is more than you can say for 80% (maybe even more) of the roster.

This was his money year, and he missed all of it. He's by no means perfect and has a lot to work on but missing this year made him miss out on million(s) next year.
