Really hope you're not saying JW is mediocre. Don't be that guy. At worst, he's an above average QB. The guy is accurate and can extend plays. He got rattled in his first start under some **** bright lights. Let him settle in.

Read again there bud. We have a history of making other teams mediocre qb look amazing.

Sam Howell laid an egg in his only big game last year in high school. Fedora flew his chopper to the game and they got destroyed and Howell was like 7-20 with a rushing td or something. Sun Valley was in a crappy division.

This was against Charlotte Catholic whos QB went to Miss ST. and I thought was a better prospect

This isn't about reading abilities, the post was phrased vaguely, talking about whether or not our boys will bounce back and handle UNC. No need to be a di©k about it.
 
Just win. Be warned if you're going into this game expecting a dominant performance. Miami's issues are youth, inexperience, and resultant lack of focus and discipline. Those aren't issues that will go away between now and September 7th imo. Our talent will certainly be on display in every game we play but this team needs a little time.

I expect it will be an uneven performance for all the reasons you state, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the final score is a blowout win for us.
 
I have about 3-4 things I really need to see from Manny this season. One of them was competing until the final minute against a top tiered opponent (we kind of accomplished that) and blow out the teams we have a clear talent superiority over.

I need to see the latter, but game 2 of the season is too early for that to be realistically achievable. Let's have the OL make a few strides, have the offense overall look better, but above all, let's just escape with a win.

Style points will be judged later.

I wouldn’t be shocked with a loss, that offensive line with still a young QB on the road? I lost a little faith with the staff putting that line at there thinking they could handle it when it should have been obvious before hand. Closed practices led the blind... I was ultra positive a few days ago now cautiously optimistic.

That's the last thing we want. We have to keep our cool and play under control. We do that, the talent advantage will shortly become apparent.
