This year is over from a fans perspective. We are staring down the barrell of a 7 win 6 loss season or a 6 win 7 loss season.
We made progress. Instead of getting blown out we have been competitive despite our horrific coaching both on and off the field. It's not enough.
Below is what needs to happen this offseason:
1. Salvage this recruiting class and finish off strong.
2. Hit the transfer portal hard for at least 2 QBs, 2 tight ends, 2 receivers, 2 safeties and linebackers.
3. Help Tyler transfer out to a school that he can rebuild at. This is not the place for him any longer. Thank you Tyler for all you have done but we must move on.
4. Mario needs to look in the mirror and realize his offensive strategy is never going to work. Let Dawson call the offense. Stop playing scared. If that doesn't work point 5.
5. Scrap Dawson, get the best OC we can find and get your idiotic hands out of the play calling. Reduce your salary by one or two mil if you must to accomplish this. You really don't deserve 8 mil for what you have done because any coach can win 6 or 7 games with this schedule. You love miami according to yourself so put your money where your mouth is.
6. Play the younger talented guys from day 1.
7. Retain guidry. Even with gamblers at safety who have cost us a lot of points we have been very good on defense. We might be the best rush defense in the country. We stonewalled FSU and Clemson. Unlike Dawson he makes in game adjustments.
Do this and we have a chance to improve. If not we will win 5 games in 2025 and that will be your 2nd to last year.....
