I think big 12 and ACC should combine and split the top teams.

Then the stronger conference will definitely keep up with SEC and big 10.

Likely Clemson, Miami, texas tech, Utah, BYU, SMU, FSU (historically strong), Louisville, ASU, Pitt, Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech, ISU, KSU and pick a North Carolina school (likely Duke or UNC basketball is important too). This is with a bit of thought of geography (not too many schools in one state) and branding. Then your out of conference games can be vs the leftover conference.
