Sorsby will not have a great year. The pressure he has put on himself will be too much. I bet BYU is the Big 12 rep in the playoffs.

This is my thinking as well. If Soresby plays, they win the Big 12 and say a CFP game or two everything could wiped away. They also will have alienated themselves from the rest of their conference. I don’t know if the marginal gains are ultimately worth it.

I don't understand why this program isn't a target for haters the way Miami is.

They are the poster child for all the things that people hate about NIL. Limited program pedigree elevated by oil money buying players is what everyone claims to hate but somehow they always seem to point the finger at us.

I can't say we can really complain (all things considered) but it sure seems like they would get their fair share.

All the more reason this is a dumb idea for them.
