on second thought, f#$k Jordan Scarlett

The one thing that sticks with me is that Scarlett convinced golden to only take two running backs in this class instead of 3. Then the kid bailed. Pile on golden if you want but that was a **** move, plain and simple.

It makes me wonder if there was malicious forethought to that.

Folden let a 17 year old kids manage his roster, and you're blaming the kid? LULZ. You guys never cease to amaze.

you reading comprehension skills are second only to your love of other human beings.

Give yourself an infraction for this porst and your previous one.

Scarlett will see the harsh reality of UF rbs...besides the great E. Smith (who had the luxury of playing w/ a HOF QB and the original Mr. Playmaker himself from the U and an o-line that was full of pro-bowlers and have Jimmy Johnson from the U coach him up) those guys just don't succeed at the next level. His decision, now we move on.

Fred Taylor too, but I do agree

He will forever be lost in the swampy muck of Gainesville, which has been a dead in for runningbacks for the last 15 plus years

token cane told you guys that scarlett had informed UM he was gone a week before he publicly decommitted. He gave the staff plenty heads up and warning and actually did it in person...but ya he did it the wrong way and screwed golden.

A week in advance isn't plenty of heads up. He was committed for 9 months.

he didn't flip on the last day or a couple days before like most kids, and actually went and told the coaching staff in person which almost never happens.

the staff had a week to find a replacement....again, it could have easily been a lot worse and golden could have easily been left holding his **** in his hand...a lot of coaches were today, including coaches for kid(s) you guys flipped. I guess they are scumbags as well.

obviously not flipping would have been ideal, but if someone is going to flip late he did it about as good as it could be done

We could of, you know, not ****ed around Jordan Cronkrite and we'd be alright.

Is the story about people in Scarlett's ear about favoritism for Walton (bc of Ice) being the reason he bolted true?

I keep hearing all these "insiders" stories about the recruit did this, staff did that, with little to no confirmation as to the accuracy of said information. I guess I'm just not buying this particular story for the simple reason that if in fact Scarlett told staff well ahead of time in person that he was going elsewhere, why would he stay publicly committed after said announcement to our coaching staff? Doesn't make sense. I suspect at best when the stories of him wavering began to get legs, staff started pushing him for a straight answer which I suspect was more along the lines of "I'm still committed to Miami but I just want to check out all my options to be sure" rather than a straight up "I'm gone". Much like the stories of pushing out Williams to secure Scarlett (which if true have to be one of the dumbest things I've heard of in recruiting), I guess we'll never know the real facts.

What Scarlett did by flipping late is a **** move period, as would be staff dropping an offer to an athlete at the last moment. Both happen far too often in my opinion and I hope if they put in an early signing period maybe some of this type crap will stop from both sides. Perhaps if there were some sanctions / penalties for flipping or dropping after a commitment was given and accepted, along with an early signing period? There's got to be a better way for both parties.

Yes, but your two are still just frigging swamp scum gators so crawl back in your slime pit and stop trying to get glory by association with THE U. FSU rode to fame losing to us close. No matter what either of you do, we did it first. Including winning NC before you won first sec title. You are both huge state schools with tax support and still just johnnies come lately. Go home.

How did he troll Miami exactly? He was committed to the school for months on end. And I know before Muschamp got fired we were in contact and tried to get him to visit multiple times and he declined. So he was about as solid as a commitment as you've had. Since then you went 6-7, UF fired their bum coach and can sell hope, and FSU made room for him. Situations changed and he re-evaluated. I don't see any of the moral police banging on kids like Redwine who flipped on signing day and left the school they were committed to hanging. Be as mad as you wanna be but let's call a spade a spade, you got no problem with a kid flipping as long as it's to Miami. Y'all really out here acting like y'all value 'commitment' and all types of other high horse BS. It's laughable.
