Watched a bunch of IU games in the lead up to the game tomorrow. As far as getting rattled, Mendoza does a good job of forgetting and then moving onto the next play after getting sacked, throwing an int, and other drive killing errors.
However, when pressured, I have absolutely seen the kid spaz out and panic while trying to navigate around pressure in the pocket, sometimes leading to some pretty risky throws. When he scrambles to get away from pressure it seems like he is not elite at moving in the pocket while maintaining his focus downfield. Instead he seems to have a tendency to drop his eyes and concentrate on eluding the rush first, then tries to re-acquire his WRs when he feels like he is out of danger.
I feel we can absolutely effect Mendoza with our D-line and pressure packages, however we need to get home when we have the opportunity and our secondary needs to be tenacious in coverage when he he does start scrambling around because he is still extremely accurate when he does have the opportunity to set his feet after getting outside the pocket after eluding pressure.
