Dear Manny

For some bizarre reason, there are some fans who act like you put a gun to the head of the powers that be and forced them to hire you then you intentionally lost games on purpose to harm the program. Many of us, myself included, do not feel that way. I saw your passion and "want to win" and you even made tough decisions to try and make that happen. Unfortunately it just didn't work out however I would like to thank you for some of the positives you brought to the program.

1. In 2017 as DC, your defense was the talk of college football and it was because of that defense the Miami Hurricanes were ranked as high as #2, some actually said there was a case for us at #1 at the time. Also, love it or hate it, the turnover chain was without a doubt a top topic in college football and for a brief moment brought back the much missed "swag" that was lacking for a long time.

2. You did have to make some tough moves all with the intention of helping the program. Mark Enos did not turn out as well as hoped so you fired him and brought in an OC that provided the best offense we seen in 20 years. Blake Baker, a friend was not cutting it as DC and you had to let him go. Unfortunately the move of not hiring a DC to replace him may be why you will no longer be coaching here however you took a chance and it did not work. The point is you always did what you thought was best for the program.

3. The king of the transfer portal...you talked great players like Jalen Phillips, Quincy Roche, Charleston Rambo, D'eriq King and Tyriqe Stevenson to join the Miami Hurricane family. That alone was worth your time here.

4. Had it not been for a terrible first quarter and a converted 4th and 14 you beat FSU every year you were HC. Again, that last FSU game may have been the nail in the coffin however the team showed great fight and never gave up in the game, even dominating the game after a 17-0 deficit.

As I said before, unfortunately it did not work out but I am not interested in stomping on your grave. You did good things here and I wish you nothing but the very best.

I’d like to thank Manny for putting his future ahead of kids health, having his trainers deny needed x rays and mri’s only to have the end result be further injury.

I’d like to thank Manny for running to daddy when he couldn’t perform.

I’d like to thank Manny for breaking out turnover chains down 30 points in the fourth quarter.

I’d like to thank Manny for losing to FIU. F. I. U.

I’d like to thank Manny for all style no substance.

I’d like to thank Manny for the 90 something ranked defense this year.

I‘d like to thank Manny for allowing himself to be cucked by an even worse administration the last three weeks.

I’d like to thank Manny for in the future making sure my latte is extra hot.

And I‘d like to thank Manny for expeditiously getting the **** off my alma maters property.
