The local media would prefer this university shut down its football program, or, better still, just cease to exist. It's been that way for a long, long time. The locals never missed a chance to #### on the students and the school when I was there years ago. IT WILL NEVER CHANGE..

Who gives a f**k what he or anyone else in the media says?

The opinion media is dying a slow death.

There are way to many talking heads these days. Accordingly, they all have to come up with something else outlandish or stupid to say to stand out.

He's the worst type of media member. Nothing real or factual to contribute, so he just says outlandish things to try to draw attention to himself. Whoever made the Skip Payless comparison was dead on.
 
He was getting on canes fans for running coker out of town saying to me that "how good has Miami been since he left" after I told him program was on obvious decline under him...I made the point that the slide that started under Coker would be like if UK fans should be happy with Calipari if they started to go to the NIT every year now...he stopped responding after that

As a FAMU alum i am actually disappointed in our turnout! Thought we would have had at least 10-15k like usual. This year was def dominated by UM fans. And Omar is the first person I have heard say that they were not happy with that turnout. That was a great crowd. You arent ever going to get a sellout for FAMU. This years crowd was the best you can hope for.

Omar doesnt really have his pulse on the program like that anymore. He is strictly a Dolphin Beat writer now. Best to not even listen to anything he has to say on the Canes.

He is actually knowledgable when it comes to the Dolphins. I think he should just stick to that and leave the Canes talk to Pete Ariz and Matt Porter. (sprinkle in Barry Jackson here and there)
 
He's a secret nole fan.....always has hated on the Canes even when he covered them
