Closing in on decision, Miami and Notre Dame final 2.

Oradel (NJ) St. Peter’s Prep five-star offensive tackle Oluwasemilore Olubobola is closing in on his college decision.

While Texas A&M is the current Rivals Prediction Machine favorite, the nation’s No. 3 offensive tackle is expected to end up elsewhere.


The blue-chipper is working through the final stage of his process and the two programs with the best chance to land him are Miami and Notre Dame

My assumption - we weren’t accepting this kids commitment before knowing what Matthews is doing. The kid wants to make a decision and ND is treating him like a 1st in line priority. Time will tell if that’s the right decision. Missing out on both would be extremely rough, but ultimately I still have full faith we will be fine at OT going forward.
 
It really seemed like this was moreso Kinsler’s uncle doing what’s right for the kid than there being organic mutual interest.

After the fiasco with Matthews, double Olu is right to move on from A&M.

Kinsler’s Uncle seems like a ‘business is business; it’s strictly financial’ guy; so I’m of the belief this won’t mess us up with AJ Randle who is repped by him as well.

I guess Gaby was onto something with his mock.

As D$ mentioned this week on the podcast, if the guy is after day 1 starter money but most likely won't start until year 2 or 3 then the money is better allocated elsewhere which makes sense.

If Mario can't bring Matthews or Olu, then secure the interior of the line and flip Jacobs.

Mario and Mirabel will definitely scour the country to bring in some OT prospect with traits who will be cheap and can be developed into a starter by year 3.

Hitting on Cantwell and Cogdnon last year alleviates the need to go all on in on an expensive asset at OT especially if that OT won't be a day 1 starter.

Joel Ervin also. We need a RT and have Ervin, Wilkerson, and Congdon. I am not at all counting out Mario on getting Matthews. This is how Mario works, he wants something and he'll keep grinding until he gets it done.

Oh but it’s a great mindset to say you have to hit the portal because you might miss a couple of hs o’linemen? Yea I feel much better about the guys already in college as opposed to hs

I never mentioned the portal I’m specifically calling out talking about congdon and Ervin like we know anything about them at the collegiate level…. Especially at tackle. We know nothing. Hopefully this season we learn they are great and then we won’t have to worry about it but in May of 2026 we have no clue
 

New prediction logged for Olubobola​

Update 10: am ET: After continuing to talk to sources, I’ve moved my pick from the Aggies to Notre Dame. Conversations have intensified with Olubobola and the Irish since the spring game visit. Meanwhile Miami is zeroing in on other targets and I don’t expect him in the Hurricanes class.

We’ll see if LSU, Tennessee, Ole Miss or another make a move but rightnow the Irish are trending. Simmons and my prediction reflect that.

Dude you just yapping at this point. Did you not see the comment I replied to? He said they are going to have to hit the portal for a RT next year basically because things aren’t looking good for olu and matthews
