O'Leary Wins Mackey

people forget he blew a few plays against nebraska too. i will say i think he is raw and has the potential to be much better than o'leary but o'leary is the better player right now.

Not saying that it had any affect since all they look at most of the time are stats, but perhaps O'Leary's blocking had something to do with it? Dude was out there crushing LB's and DB's.

Walford and Williams will be better TE's than O'Leary in the NFL.

Per game averages

O'Leary (13 games): 3.6 catches, 47.2 yards, 0.46 TDs

Walford (11 games): 4 catches, 61.45 yards, 0.63 TDs.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Say what you may..Both had outstanding years..The TRUTH comes out on the NFL DRAFT DAY as to who the real winner is...Going to be very interesting as to who's drafted first-- as most teams now see the value of an atheletic blocking TEs.

OLeary getting it - whatever. I see it.

But Maxx friggin Williams beating out clive for 2nd?!

More and more people are ranking Maxx the #1 TE in the 2015 draft ahead of Walford and O'leary. Just saying.

He's going to be a great TE in the NFL in the mold of Graham, but I don't think NFL scouts' evaluations should have anything to do with CFB awards.

This was crazy though

That fumble against FSU was enough to make him lose a head to head with O'Leary.

Mistakes are ok as long as you win. O'Leary get the edge because he has come up big for FSU all year keeping that team undefeated.

On draft day, Walford will win.

Out of curiosity, not that i disagree with the sentiments in this thread, i wonder what % of national awards go to players on .500 teams. Does anyone follow this closely enough to weigh in?

+100000
Johnu Smith of FIU had better stats than both, however he isn't going to receive a national award with his team only winning 4 games... Clive earned but his team winning 6 games wasn't going to do it... Did Tevin Coleman of Indy win anything... 2000+ yards but his team didn't win...

I don't like O'leary because he's a ****, from South Florida, and went to FSU over us, but the more I watch him play, the more I like his style. He lays some really nice crack back blocks and is kind of an ******* on the field. I wish we had more players with that attitude on the field for us.

I dont see what the big deal is? He is playing on an undefeated team with nearly identical stats as Walford.

That's fine, and I know he's a good prospect but if you're talking about production and impact, warlord is ahead.
