Ole Miss vs UGA Game Thread

We can all sit back and say that Kirby is stupid for going for that, but he knows his team better than us.

That was a desperation play.

He knows his defense is cracking and can’t stop Ole Miss.

He gambled and lost. Simple as that.
He should run the ball then and let his defense rest and kill clock to limit the Ole Miss possessions.

Horrible game plan by Kirby and staff.

Maybe. But that’s because the defense did a great job shutting down SMU offense all game.

SMU has the 28th ranked offense.
Ole Miss the 4th.

So you’re getting the SMU defense that you struggled to score on.
But with a far superior offense attached to it.
That SMU game is an outlier. The offense completely changed after that. Might as well throw it into the same pile as the A&M game offensively.

Yes. In 2024.
This year too at times. I posted in another thread before the A&M game about it and how Miami needed to spy Reed so his legs couldn't beat us.

Castellanous had 75 yards. Drones had 73 yards. CJ Carr had big runs against on 3 scoring drives in the 4th quarter (3 first downs and 1 TD).

If you look at the box scores, it appears Miami kept Reed and Byrum Brown in check. But if you remove the sacks, Reed had something like 55-60 yards on 8-9 carries.

Fair enough.

But if it was my team I'd set a Kirby Smart effigy on fire just to have someone to blame. Feels good.
