Anyone know if we made an attempt to recruit any of their players, most notably Earl Little Freshman All-American OT, to Miami?

Rumor is they have a bunch of guys considering Michigan.

Greg Little would change our team from good to great!

He would be the immediate starter at left tackle and a top ten o tackle in the nation we need a guy like him. He would absolutely change our team and oline.

We would have this:

LT - Little - Herbert
LG - Donaldson - Reed
C - Gauthier - Scaife
RG - Gaynor - Mahoney
RT - St Louis - Hillery

That is a dominant line that we need to be able to win ships.

If we dont get that type of transfer we will have to play a rs fr herbert and st louis out of position and we will lose depth.

Everyone says dominant miami teams never had elite o lines but that is false. We had o lines like clemson has. I would be all over that kid!!!

EDIT: He would have to sit a year my bad. But still if we could have him that would be awesome

Edit again: Ole miss players can transfer and play immediately.

Final Edit: MedleyCane is Correct so they cant

seniors are the only ones that get a free transfer. rest would have to sit a year.

All Ole Miss players have a free pass to avoid sitting out due to the sanctions

Nope.
Everyone has this confused with the StatePenn sanctions, which allowed anyone to move on from their program
without having to sit out a season.
Ole Miss' sanctions are more restricted, more like what hit USC.

The only players definitely allowed to transfer and play immediately are those whose eligibility runs out
before Ole Miss is bowl-eligible again.
So, rising seniors.

Shea Patterson isn’t a rising senior right?

I don't think so, but it sure seems Harbaugh is interested.
Ole Miss seems to think Harbaugh is tampering with their players.
Their AD sent a letter to all the coaches regarding this.
LOL.

LOL.

It wouldn't surprise me a bit if he was. I'd love to see Michigan take some kind of hit over this. But even better news is Patterson is an upcoming junior so if he goes to LSU we won't be seeing him next year regardless.

No doubt Harbaugh is....he's desperate after another mediocre close to his season and the fact he's losing some of his commits now. That guy will push the envelope of any rule out there, or flat out break them if he doesn't like or agree with them.

I'm sure other schools are as well.

Word I had was Patterson was interested in Miami (per a sports writer that covers the SEC/ACC) and at one point had cancelled his visit to Michigan. But with the signing of Williams Miami lost interest. Miami now has Perry and Williams, two elite recruits and Richt's type of playmaker at that position. Patterson now appears to be a Michigan lock although Oklahoma has entered the picture and with Mayfield leaving it might be attractive. OU does have a super quick, fast QB in the wings so who knows. His best option to play right away seems to be Michigan. Harbaugh has already visited several Ole Miss players right there in Oxford. Michigan entertained several Ole Miss players who can help them immediately so.....just saying......It's what I know and who, roflmao

is Perry/Williams really that much more challenging than Peters/McCaffrey?

If true, I see it as a fail on UM coaches.....but i never heard a peep about Miami, only Michigan and a few others, so i'm not sure how much interest was there on his end. Patterson is head and shoulders above what we have at QB right now. He steps in Day 1 as starter, especially with his game experience against SEC defenses. You can say Perry and Williams are talented all you want, neither has thrown a pass yet. You don't turn down a talented, proven commodity when that is your biggest weakness.

And according to ESPN, Patterson does not have a waiver yet - he still needs to petition for one. It seems several Ole Miss players have hired counsel to help with it.
