Look at old Bill Snyder for example at Kansas State. Takes mostly 3 star guys some even 2 stars and turns out solid offensive linemen and-off-and-on NFL draft material.
This O-line coach needs to be evaluated. This stuff MR spewing out that he does not have the talent yet. Heck he had had a couple years of numerous 4 star talent. There is no real progress each year just SOS.
 
Mahoney is playing because he is playing better than the subs. You guys love to.trash him.And then, every week be out performs the others and you all whine. He is playing ahead of Boulware or Scaife because he is playing better than they are. You know that you will get maximum effort on every play.

How do we know he’s better smart guy? Gaynor took his spot and we immediately rio off a long run, ironically off gaynors hip.

Maximum effort while getting blown back into nkosi from a savanah state player ... if this team wants to be serious Mahoney and jones need to sit tf on the bench

A ***gert coached CrimiNole team is nowhere near or bench mark, dude. I'm looking at Clemson and we are far from that level of talent unfortunately.
 
I have maintained since the move was made that Donaldson is not a tackle. He just doesn't have the athleticism for it. Navaughn is a true guard and he has the talent to be dominant there. Donaldson needs to go back to guard and we need to play Scaife at RT. At the other guard spot we need to play Boulware until Reed is ready which needs to be much sooner than later. Gaynor should provide depth at guard until he moves to C next spring. At LT I think St.Louis will be fine for the remainder of the season with Campbell and Scaife competing for LT next spring.

Privately Richt has been telling everyone who will listen that this OL and in turn the whole offense will go to a whole new level as soon as Scaife, Reed and Campbell are ready. We need to start getting these kids some playing time. Thats the best way for them to develop. Lastly, Ive said it a thousand times before and I'll say it a thousand more times. We must sign Evan Neal! It is absolutely imperative. It is absolutely crucial. Stick a beast like Neal in at RT next year with Donaldson next to him at RG, Gaynor at Center, Reed at LG and either Scaife or Campbell at LT and all of a sudden this line will start to resemble a legit P5 OL.
 
You can the difference in physicality with the starters going to the back ups, scaife, gaynor, hillery, reed were all physical at the point of attack, boulware is physical but he aint big enough to hold his own, these left over golden guys are too soft, it seems the richt recruits are the ones that get the job done
 
LSU blitz package was pretty simple. They worked a few on the tackles, but loved our guards: They just lined up in the A Gap or behind the DT and ran right by them. Its hard in that tight a space to not even get a hand on a guy - but we managed it a bunch.

The OL situation is downright scary right now. I get that the Freshmans everyone are mentioning were more talented in high school and have higher upsides. But they’re being coached by the same people. You litter the OL with Freshmans with no starts, your gonna get your QB (whoever he is) killed at some point. We got issues.
 
Scaife needs to move to RT, Donaldson and Gaynor to the guard spots and Gauthier and St Louis remain where they are. These coaches need to find the best players by the time we play UNC, latest FSU and find out who ready to go to war and who needs to ride the pine
