OL starting to look the part

Our roster, from a looks and physicality standpoint, was so embarrassing.
I've been to countless practices over the last few years and was always shocked with how pedestrian we looked in person. Short, unathletic, fat O-linemen. Soft as **** too. In drills they just went through the motions. No intensity. (LB & DL units looked embarrassing too)

I've seen these new OL recruits in person and this unit finally looks the part. Obviously we need them to play the part as well, but at least they actually look like real P5 linemen. The freshmen look like grown a$s men already.

staff Is far from perfect but if we can continue this OL recruiting, we'll be a 10 win team regularly no matter what we have going on at other positions.
Recruiting/ Having that type OL has been this for 20 years:

This ⬆️

Every unit has massive holes so idk what other group you could argue for.
Manny Diaz left this team in horrible shape. It’s the reason we have to fill so many holes. The fruits of his trash recruiting are what we see today. Mario for all his warts WILL bring in top talent. In a few years this roster will look totally different.

You ain’t lying. Remember when Bryant McKinnie tutored our OL group like 3-4 years ago and did some training with them and he did an interview with a UM blogger and his answers sounded like he was extremely unimpressed with the group. The blogger even asked, “Any potential NFL guys you see on the OL group?” And he was trying to be nice and find at least one person and finally decided on saying Navaughn Donaldson had NFL potential. I knew then we were in deep trouble.

It's wild how far we come already and I think our top 7 o-linemen has chance to get drafted by time they leave and fairly high too

All I know is Mauioga moves as well as any 300 pound OL I've seen at Miami in a long time. When you watch him move and accelerate like a fullback, the fact he's supposedly legitimately 6' 5" and 320 is at that "too good to be true" level.

Lee moves his feet really well, too.
They absolutely love Lee. He is a stud. They also love Kinsler.

I love Kinsler, too, and have talked about him on the recruiting board. In prior years, he would have been our best OL recruit and we're likely praying he could contribute right away. Coming in, he has a lot of the same attributes as Anez Cooper, but...and I hesitantly say this because Cooper has now re-worked his whole body, even better athleticism/feet. Hopefully, Kinsler can be a contributor early (especially as a swing Guard), but luckily we're not "desperate" for it.

Went back to look. Kinsler was in my Top 5 understated recruits: https://www.canesinsight.com/threads/ranking-the-understated-2023-signees.182563/

Wish both of these young men would be more then 1 year portal additions but it will give the young bucks a year to get coached up and stronger.
They can go right back in the portal next year if needed. Portal Ol would have interest in playing for MC....its the other skill positions that tell himt o f*ck his face

Our base offense should include a 6th OL. Everyone agrees that our skill talent is slightly above average at best so let's not pussyfoot around that fact. Instead, why not rely on the new strength of the team and go with an unbalanced line out of the gate.

QB Van Dyke
RB Parrish
WR Restrepo
WR Young
TE McCormick
LT Rivers
LG Cohen
C Lee
RG Cooper
RT Mauigoa
RT Nelson

Dawson isn’t much of an improvement if we don’t open up the season with this look or something like it.

On the goal line sure thing. But take out McCormick for Arroyo so it's not telegraphing a run.
