I wonder if any of our TE's or DL could be converted to the OL ala Eric Winston. The NFL has specifically identified Jason Peters, Alejandro Villanueva, Garry Gilliam and Nate Solder as successful tight-end-to-tackle conversions.

Our Defensive Linemen Candidates:
  • Armondo Blount — 6'4", 275
  • Justin Scott — 6'4", 303
  • Ahmad Moten — listed among Miami's defensive tackles
  • Keshawn Stancil — 6'4", 285
  • Logan Nagle — 6'4", 285
  • Tyson Bacon — 6'4", 275
  • Mykah Newton — 6'3", 275
Justin Scott is the really interesting one physically. At 303 pounds,

Our Tight end Candidates— the most obvious candidates
PlayerSize
Owen Ruskavich6'7", 255Most intriguing
Dylan Reiman6'6", 245Interesting
Hunter Carver6'4", 245Possible
Elija Lofton6'3", 242Less obvious
Owen Ruskavich jumps out. At 6'7", 255, he already has the frame that could eventually become a 300+ pound tackle

Well there goes a few moments I will never get back. I had a feeling before I clicked it wouldn’t be good but I couldn’t help myself

This is kinda of a crazy post but I’ll play along. Justin Scott actually did get recruited as a guard a little coming out of HS, Blount no. I’d actually consider Lofton on the defensive side of the ball at end, that’s about it

Hey, I read somewhere that RBs have a knack for seeing the field & thus have enjoyed success at LB. Any thoughts on switching up Fletcher or maybe Lyle on obvious passing downs.

Justin Scott, the 5* DT with a 1st round potential? I'm not sure he is going to want to give up his NFL future to try out a brand new position. One of which is stocked with young talent, but I'll ask him if you want & let you know what he says.
