OL decided to end that football game with 10:38 to go

Mario ball was also shutting it down before half with 42 seconds to go and all the momentum. The D just forced a 3-and-out and got the ball back in decent field position. Why not take a shot? That was weak.
Because there was no shots to take all game? Like why not throw into coverage just to say we took a shot?

I didn’t have a problem with it. Beck was off. It was wet. Floridas has a very good secondary. I thought he played it smart all night. We were up 2 scores, our defense was playing lights out, and we were getting the ball back in the 3rd quarter.

That's a weak mindset that allows lesser teams stay in the game.

Dawson wasn't countering what UF was doing. There were absolutely plays to make against their coverage. UF was on the ropes. Going up 3 scores before the half would have ripped out their souls....but instead you call a slow inside zone and walk off the field. Why? You are giving them hope during half, only being down 13 in a game they have been dominated.....and we saw quickly how their score flipped the momentum in Q3.

By shot, i don't necessarily mean deep shot. I mean try to move the ball. Double move, rub, crossers, screen, something....try to pop 10-20 yards and get within striking distance. They were not backed up against their goalline and UF had 1 timeout left, so it's not like they could have stopped the clock and threatened with a late drive if you try 1-2 plays and don't get much for it.

Beck may have been “off” but give UF defense credit there. All week long it was said from all kinds of sources that their defense was going to be a challenge. Beck himself talked about it twice. It was dissected by every breakdown guru on social media. Ron Robert’s has difficult and confusing concepts

Conditions were terrible. Beck became a game manager and that’s what was needed to win that game.

Dawson never does these things. It’s my biggest criticism. No creativity when it’s needed.

If UF made it 14-13 in the 3rd, this board would have torn up that decision. They didn't, so i can see many sitting on the positive side of the conversation today, but how many times have fans killed Mario ball being ultra conservative? The announcers even referenced it late in the game.

Mario's uber conservative bro ball is fun at times but it'll cost us some games. This is football dammit.....gotta put the game away when you have the chance.

Protecting a 13 point lead in the second quarter is not how you win championships.

You have a Sr qb, go get 3 more points, maybe the weather played a part I forget if it was raining harder at that time.

It goes both ways. If we would have turned the ball over and let Gators put points on the board before the half, then what. If Beck had a hot hand, I would agree with you. He was off on most of his throws.
