Mark Matthews

Miami is still the frontrunner here

Jatori Williams

wouldn’t be surprising to see Williams end up in the class.

Jackson Roper
Gus Corsair
Reed Ramsier
Reiss Russell
Will Slagle
Tyler Ford

Of that group, Ford is definitely a name Miami values. He was just on campus last week and has locked in an official visit for June 5.

Jordan Agbanoma

He did not make it in for his previously scheduled visit this weekend but may make a trip next weekend.

Oluwasemilore Olubobola
Jimmy Kalis
Joshua Sam-Epelle

All three have visited this spring.

Kelsey Adams Jr
has not been on campus this spring but is set to make an official visit to Miami on June 12.

DJ Dotson
Conner Rutherford

visited for the Spring Ball Splash event and are on the radar.

Just preparing everyone here that Mark Matthews is not the slam dunk that insiders are claiming he is. Yeah, I think we have a good shot but if Miami was the choice, it would be done already. The big factor in all this is Jason Taylor honestly. His presence and opinion are highly valued by the family and Mark. But it could go away from us, and I know it would be a devastating loss.

What makes you say that? Do you know the family? Seems to me like he's just going through the process and taking visits

Talked with someone close to the situation. I'm not saying we are not going to get him, just he could easily trend away from us. You are right he is doing his HW for sure, but I just feel like everyone acts like we got this and it's not going to be that easy. I have concerns but I know Mario is relentless and won't stop grinding.

I feel when confidence level is high for big dog recruits like it is for Matthews it hasn’t bode well for us recently: Pickett, cooper, etc

Difference here is o line but I do agree the recruitments seem similar to those mentioned above

I never have that attitude with recruiting - it's a vicious battle and really unpredictable. This kid is a top 5 player in the country. Everyone is after him and will be throwing crazy offers his way.

The thing is, if we don't get him, I think we have some really good other options on OL.

Miami has put in a ton of work here over the years, so if the local prospect does go to A&M, it won’t be because of a lack of effort from the staff. Miami has also been aggressive with Matthews in all areas. This could be a case of the man ahead — remember, Miami just landed the nation’s top tackle last cycle in Jackson Cantwell.

Either way, Miami is still in contact here, and things could change in the interim or throughout the cycle. Still, I don’t expect Miami to sit back and wait.

....

it’s looking more and more likely that Olubobola will end up somewhere other than A&M

.....

Miami is definitely near the top of the list as we get into the final stretch of his recruitment. Again, a decision could come soon. I do not expect him to make summer official visits.

.....

there are a lot of programs involved here, but Miami is very capable of winning out.

I still haven’t logged a Rivals Prediction for any school............If I had to make a pick today, it would be A&M

.......

Miami is working to swing the momentum back in its favor

......

It’s a little interesting that Matthews hasn’t publicly announced a date yet, especially after Texas A&M went in-home earlier in the week. What is Matthews waiting for and why would he not want to stay home and play for Cristobal and Alex Mirabal — two offensive line gurus? Those are two tough questions to answer.

Could Matthews have a change heart and trend back to the team that has always been there? I guess we’ll find out soon…

Oluwasemilore Olubobola

Olubobola values the development piece, Maimi’s academics and the chance to play for Mirabal,.....still relatively new to football, could easily become a first round draft pick at a place like Miami.

Joshua Sam-Epelle

still has some work to do. .........he’s a prototypical tackle, and, like Olubobola, could flourish at Miami. Georgia .......doesn’t seem to be all in.

Given whats up with Mathews, I'd add this dude as an OT that we should be after: Jakari Lipsey
OT from Michigan. He's listed 6'5" 290lbs, and he claims 86" wingspan, which just sounds a little fake. But if you're claiming 86" wingspan and are 6'5"... you at least def have long arms. Ranked 115 overall and 10th OT in Composite

Not sure if he can spell well given the title of his hudle tape though lol. But first block is pretty nasty at least

Looks like Frank Tucker follows him
