OK, now we're rearranging deck chairs on the Richtanic(Barry Jackson article)

Were at that point where Dicaprio's character plunges into the freezing abyss(But he'll never give up!!)
We fancy ourselves there. That guy had a girl, and she misses him. We’re just some deck hand who passed out and sank, and no one knows or cares.

guys, IMO, this goes far beyond an assistant coach or staff changes

This program needs a new coach. One that is in his prime, if not innovative, at least up to date and not stale. A mover and a shaker, not a guy looking to use Miami as a retirement fund and a nest egg provider for unqualified family members.

Getting an OC is just putting a band-aid to treat a malignant tumor, at this point

Well said

The best OC in the country won’t fix the problem. The AD and the HC need to go.

I think it's even bigger than that to be honest. There needs to be a complete revamp from the absolute top all the way down. Need new BOT members than the ones currently in charge of the program and an AD that has personally been a part of an elite modern day football program.

OK, when you say 'absolute top' do you mean AD or school prez?

Because say what you want, the bulk of the schools football glory came with the most anti-athletics/football guy in Tad Foote(ball).

Coach ain’t the half of it.

This program needs a ******** transplant.

I mean whichever group of BOT members that are currently in charge of the sports program need to be replaced. I'm assuming only some of the BOT members are delegated to these duties. Then there needs to be an elite AD brought in possibly an assistant AD that has been apart of Alabama, Clemson, or one of those programs.

Ok understood, gotcha....

He saw that this should been happening a few weeks ago before many of the really high quality OC"s were off the market...
There are still good ocs that can be hired. Kevin wilson and larry fedora are 2 vets that could turn the offense around. And then there are some younger guys that would probably love a pay raise.

He talked to someone "familiar with Richt's thinking". His THINKING? Before or after he went senile? Whoever that individual is must've known Richt while at UGA, during the pre Jon era. His thinking is now skewed by Jon's employment.

Richt can't fire or demote Jon or Jon's career is OVER. If he fires Jon, nobody would hire him after his all around ****** job performance. And if Richt demotes Jon, he knows he'll NEVER be able to promote him back to QB coach without a riot.

The ONLY thing Richt can do with Jon is move him to ST coach. Then he can use the last on field spot on a QB coach/OC. Its the only way he can solve the Jon problem. Its that or he has to give up on that wet dream for good and there's no reason to think he will.

I am probably dreaming with this scenario. I just think if we are going to start over with a new HC let's just completely start over with how the whole program is being operated. I think doing something like that provides better stability for success going forward.

As Brian Billick once said ,"Lets just blow the whole **** thing up"
