That’s how I saw it. Jacksoff is a new man this year. He’s reinvented himself as a hard hitting journalist and gone away from the limp-wristed dishrag he’s been his whole time here.

He’s doing it in a slick subtle way. He’s basically saying, “Everyone thinks Rick is garbage, but I don’t think that helps.” But, in the process, he’s getting it out there that football people think Rick is garbage.
 
Blake James doesn't follow football, so hopefully he learns something.

So he cares that people are starting to call him out, but doesn't care enough to make changes to help the program. Greaaaat.

The "noise" around the program is starting to build. Like a ball rolling down hill, it will only pick up speed. And it doesn't matter if people think BJ was calling out or supporting rick, the fact that more media types are questioning rick's handling of the program will encourage others to come out and question him as well.
