I am in this ballpark. That being said, if he can save this recruiting class I may be leaning towards excitement. Still, I cautiously optimistic.

Allow yourself and to enjoy these moments... Richt is 0-0, recruiting season is exciting for the first time in years, and we're playing in a bowl game that will end up being a try out for Richt's squads. It's been a tough decade, but I definitely feel a lot better now than I did for our trip to the Sun Bowl

I still stand by my statement. After Larry, Randy and Golden I am not getting too excited any more. That being said, I am happy with the hire and hope for the best.

I'm with you... I was thinking that Butch would be the best hire for what UM needed.... But I am extremely happy with the Mark Richt hire... Out of all the coaches I met on Shaq's recruiting trail... I was most impressed with Richt and by far my wife's favorite.

I have a buddy who is a UGA alum. Verifies that the understanding around the program is that play-calling had been taken away from Richt, who was asked to act more as a CEO. In addition to stories that Pruitt was hiring personnel and that he and Richt were not on the same page indicates that there was some meddling taking place. I am curious to see how the program does with Rich taking a more active role, as one would expect.

Right there with you. I expect Mark to win Coastal and beat FSU. I want savages and NC but don't think we have a chance now.

I think so. I wanted Butch but Mark is now best coach in the coastal and we have best talent in coastal. Team did nice after Al was gone. No reason to not win it next year.
