OJ Frederique stepped up in today’s win over Duke

Romanas played well yesterday.

On the first deep ball, that was textbook 9 route coverage. He immediately recognized the route, flipped, got in phase & stayed the WR's hip pocket, then used his upper body to box out the WR disrupt the route at the catch-point.

On the Deep ball he gave up, it was the same play just to the opposite side of the field. He got beat on this route because he didn't transition in phase quick enough.

Idk if he was expecting for a post route, or was waiting for the stem, but he played the route as if he didn't expect for it to be a 9. If he flips & plays towards the sideline like he did earlier, he probably breaks this route up as well.

But overall, it was a good performance by Rome.

He is something special to watch.
On that first play which happened right in front of our seats, my wife turned and said “that was perfect coverage, he played that perfectly”.

She’s a big OJ fan as am I.
