Looking down the road to our college football playoff matchup, I hope we don't draw the Buckeyes on New Year's Eve. First, I assume the Buckeyes will be #1 and be sent to the Cotton Bowl. Hopefully we will be the #2 or #3 seed which means we will get to play at home. We shouldn't have much trouble with an SEC or Pac 12 team at home. Still, the prospect of having to fly out to Glendale to play the Buckeyes is troubling. That trip would be a logistical nightmare for me at the first of the year. I'm not sure we can stop their running game, and I'd hate to spend that time and money to watch us lose to them in the desert again. Hopefully, they get picked off in the semi-final.

It's been raining here for the better part of 5 days straight.

I haven't mowed my lawn in almost 2 weeks. Yikes!

Since you got UM going to the playoffs, from which you've had luminous revelations, are you seeing that Greg Schiano is hired as our Defensive consultant to D'Onobrio and Rob Chudzinski as an Offensive consultant to Coley. Please reveal more!

I dare say that even if we did manage a 13-0 record, the programs we are facing would have to have had a monumental collapse. Our SOS would be so weak that even an undefeated Miami could be left out of the playoffs with maybe 2 teams from another Big 5 getting in.

LOL. No way they keep our undefeated Canes out of the playoffs.

Very responsible of you to plan so far ahead IMHO.

Not true. Figure an undefeated Pac-12, SEC, Big 12, and Big 10. Our conference is so depleted this year the arguably best team is a team with its own term for ******** up: "Pulling a Clemson."

We could easily be skipped.

If all are undefeated (and that will NEVER happen) Big 12 gets left out because of no conference championship game. We just need to hope FSU and Clemson keep winning after we smash them in order to keep the perception high.

One team out of each of the other Power 5 going undefeated is more probable than Miami going 13-0.

Aside from the overt insanity of Golden going undefeated in anything, yeah there is no way in **** the TV gods would EVER allow the Miami Hurricanes to be left out of 4 team playoffs. Ratings would be off the hook. Think of OSU rematch, ND revived, tie breaker with Bama, they would roll Barry, JJ, the Boz and a dozen HOF Canes out for OU match. Heck the line of all us fans barefooted in the snow begging forgiveness from his holiness pope Al would make two hour pregame special.

Then we would all wake up and cry.
