Keep rolling winnings

If the Canes play like they did in the first half against Taint and Matt Patricia's defense, we're going to get our a$$es handed to us on National Television.

I don't care if they are a hated team, you have to play an intelligent brand of first half football and put points on the f**king board against OSU or you might as well not go.

Dawson's performance in the first half against A&M left something to be desired, to say the least. I'm sure he had them rolling on the floor in Columbus.

Fortunately, we appear to have someone who knows how to play a 60-minute game in Heatherman. Bailed out by the Defense again, even in the last minute of the game.

I hate Taint with the force of a Thousand Suns, but I'm also a realist, and I was underwhelmed by our offensive production today.

Smith will always be somewhat rejected by the City because he accepted Cam Ward's offer to come to Miami by phone, then apparently Pops intervenes with a magical surplus Bag from Columbus that sweetens Brian Hartline's original deal.

Ward was always clear about his conversation with Smith. He told him he was just testing the waters with the NFL Draft talk and that he intended to go to Miami, and that he wanted Smith to go there. This had the potential of a truly historic combination that could go deep into the playoffs. Imagine Smith still here with Beck, Toney and Heatherman's defense, and you can understand how close we came to starting an historic run of top flight QB's beating down the door to play with Smith, Toney and CJ Daniels.

But the Bagman from Columbus changed all that. Not the first time that we've been screwed by Taint.

I'm not disagreeing, but are we also facing 30 mph wind gusts in that game is a big question to me.

As bad as the offense was. We left 9 pts out there on field goals alone. Davis doesn’t miss those in normal conditions. So would have been 19-3.
