Ohio State freshman Torrance Gibson took reps at wide receiver during the early portion of the Buckeyes' practice on Friday, per our Steve Helwagen.

New co-offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Tim Beck said on Monday that Gibson would strictly be repping at quarterback for OSU, but that plan obviously changed fast. To be clear, OSU has not said that Gibson is moving positions. He could just be getting some practice reps at wide receiver, and will still get snaps at quarterback as well.

A four-star class of 2015 recruit out of American Heritage High in Fort Lauderdale, the 6-foot-4, 205-pound Gibson was ranked the No. 6 athlete in the nation, per the 247Sports Composite. The Buckeyes of course converted QB Braxton Miller to wideout this offseason.

Thanks a lot F-A-G

And while I'm at it, eff you too Al Golden!

This kid should be a Canes

yet another one that fell for it. yet when we tell them the truth they go to other schools and get lied to with no backlash. could you imagine the public outcry he would have with the media in south florida right now.

Exactly. Some of the local "coaches" and handlers would be all up in arms and attacking the staff for lying to the local kids who's dream it was to play at the "U." But when other coaches do it, not a peep.

I wonder? I would think it would be different if that coach was here. Nobody, especially high school coaches, would question the likes of saban, Meyer, JJ, etc. They would probably think it was for the best if those successful coaches did it. Now I admit, if Albert Golden pulled that, he would get roasted! He just isn't allowed to do same things other coaches that win can. Nobody trusts him, plain and simple.

The Urban Liar

It took less than 2 weeks... Blah... This kid was doggin us for NOT offering him as a QB... Whatever.

As usual, you're dead wrong.

We did recruit him as a QB, not as a WR.

You Golden apologists are acting like the kid was dying to play for Miami, we wouldn't offer his as a QB, and he turned us down for Meyer and the lying Buckeyes.

He had offers from both UM and OSU to play QB. He chose OSU. Folden lost. End of story.

who gives a **** really....no way they **** up not winning the ship, cakewalk schedule, urban, talent ...

Hate to agree with you about something but this is true. Local think the own THE U but treat every other school like a "massa". Don't get carried away, it is also true that Al sucks and is getting worse not better.

He would have gone to OSU anyway, or Auburn. He was never coming here. Miami doesn't get players like Gibson anymore. We don't win recruiting battles against the SEC or against Urban Meyer or against FSU or anybody else with a pulse..... because Miami doesn't WIN at anything anymore.

WTH. Not just gibson but bmiller too? lol. bmiller could've transferred to quite a few schools and been the man at QB.

Can anybody dislike him for making the smart business decision? Why on earth would any top prospect come to Miami as long as AG is the head coach? Go play for Urban- you get elite exposure, elite coaching, and you will compete for national titles. Yes, Columbus is a hole and the women are pedestrian to put it kindly, but if your aim is to play at the next level and become a better draft prospect, it's an absolute no-brainer IMO.

I'll agree with you on the description of women, but how can you say players will become better draft prospects at OSU? They're coming off a NC and we still put more guys in the league.
