I live just south of Dublin in Hilliard. Can confirm the pleasure of rocking my Canes gear over the last few months. If you think the dirty looks are real around the city I highly recommend CMH airport. Nothing like making eye contact with Taint fans after a long trip and forcing them to look away in disgust! 😂
 
Me and my homie at a high school basketball game in Ashland a few days after the Cotton Bowl. Nobody said anything, but man did their looks sat a lot. I couldn’t tell if it was because I was the only Black person in the building or because of the Canes gear, I kind of felt it was a bit of both, either way I was smiling proudly. Being a Cane in Ohio has been rough at times since the Fiesta Bowl, but those days are a thing of the past. I’m especially loving that Mario has brought in some legitimately talented Ohio kids, Milan is from my neck of the woods, he’s going to be a good one.

I’ve had some Kentucky fans ask me why I root for Miami. I tell them because Miami actually cares about their football program. UK spends all their money on basketball and just hopes to go 7-5 every year in football so they can keep bringing in more revenue to blow on basketball. And that’s how it always will be up here. That just doesn’t interest me.

unfortunately I am. I always say I’m a fan by geographical default. Now, my Canes love, that was by choice as a 7 year old who’s neighbors were big ND fans. Very nice people, an Irish-Catholic bunch. I remember them having a big orange, white and green flag on their front porch and me hating it for some reason and wondering why it was our team’s colors. I didn’t know that those are the colors of Ireland’s flag. I didn’t care, though. I loved Sebastian and the smoke. That’s all it took for me to be a Cane for like. Almost 40 years later I’m still down.
