What bothers me is Blake James putting out a report that ultimately is going to prove wrong and make us look pathetic. If al had any intention of staying he would have released a statement on his own.

I don't agree with that at all. Bill o'Brien was rightfully ripped for lying to recruits on Saturday morning then accepting the Texans job hours later. Golden is doing the right thing staying silent. If he stays, all it takes is a simple phone call to his recruits. If he leaves, he still has his integrity.

At this point i am sure both he and PSU are mulling over their options. In 24 hours, it will probably be over. Stay patient. I hope he stays but agrees to make changes to his staff (may be wishful thinking and probably is)

I'm not sure he has any integrity left. He is under contract to a university and is taking almost a week to pursue another job while leaving the responsibilities of the current job unattended. He might as well lie at this point.

Maybe I'm missing something but nothing about Chud screams out that he would love to recruit in the mud that is South Florida. Say what you want about Golden but he was a relentless recruiter. Saban, Fisher, Urban, all love recruiting, I don't see Chud fitting in with that.

Sorry it's just this whole situation is driving me insane. But it's the offseason and this thread has no actual information in it.

Assistants do most of the recruiting. Look at Bobby Bowden for years. With Coley and a new DC that can recruit, we will be ok.

Frankly, I want an offensive guy. As crazy as it sounds, Coker was our best coach of the last 3. Worst recruiter however.

Malzahn and Fisher are playing for the title. Offense wins titles in CFB.
