Official State Penn job as it relates to Golden Thread

Would You Be Upset If Al Left For Pedo State?

What is Blake James is supposed to say? LOL. "I expect him to take the Penn St job." If Golden wasn't going to take the job at Penn State, he would prob release a statement by now saying he would remain at Miami.

Please be right! It's not that Butch is a Miami guy because he is. It's because he is a winner and tough *** son of a bi#@*! This is what we need. He knows how to build a winning program and evaluate, recruit, and develop players for the college and nfl level. He is 62 and has a lot of wisdom and knowledge to impart to the program. Blake James is in over his head. The only way he keeps from drowning is to call on Butch. This next hire is as important to UM as it has ever been. We want survive another 4 years of mediocrity in the football world. Miami will have similarities to the likes of SMU. We will be completely irrelevant. Butch regrets not having stayed even though the details of UM's proposed contract to him was rotten to the core. No commitment to him or the football program. Miami needs to stop this nickel and dime mentality and pay for a coach and build a top notch program we can all be proud of again. Miami proved it can pay high salaries because they made Donna the highest paid president among college presidents. Now prove it to the fans, former, current, and future Canes that you are committed to having a national championship program again!
 
I think there are going to be some surprised people at the end of this. I do think he is leaving but a return wouldnt surprise me. At least a return with onofrio that is

This is how it's starting to look to me now.We're at the mercy of Penn ST right now, if they don't take him off our hands we're stuck with him for the next 2 seasons.
 
If he comes back with Onfrio the scene will be worse than it was towards the end of the Shannon's tenure.

I just can't envision a scenario where Golden + Onfrio are standing on the sideline on opening day. If that does end up happening prepare for attendance that makes our already poor attendance seem like "the good old days".

You're talking banners, open protests at homes game....ugly dude. It would be a miserable time to be a Canes fan. Let's pray it doesn't go that route

Franklin is on NFL coaching lists...interviewed for the Texans. I expect him to be coaching somebody like the Browns not Penn ST. The logical choice is Golden who was expected to be Paterno's successor for a while now. Muswhatever from the Titans is his only comp but I bet he stay in the league as a coord. Plus Golden is familiar with coaching a team thats being punished by the NCAA...The only thing is I think Golden really does have love for Miami making the decision somewhat hard but the chance of coaching at his alma mater and making more money win out.
 
Well said. Now email it in a more politically correct way to Blake James. As I did today. Enough of us emailing him will at least warrant a response.
