All the talk about us taking goon players, how about he start hiring goon coaches? Butch and Olive Garden fits the bill... At least when a player does bad, he is not automatically kicked off the team. Imagine this...

Olive Garden: Son, you failed your drug test again... We're going to have to let you go.

Player: How the fudge are you going to kick me off the team for failing a drug test when you were popping Mollies & popping a wheelie with your mistress on the back of your motorcycle and then crashing into the side of an Olive Garden?

Olive Garden: You're right, son... I apologize. Welcome back to the team.

From reading that message board, it seems like Golden's loyalty to Coach D might have just ruined Coach D's career. Well that and Coach D's coaching. Putting out a bad product for 3 years at a prominent place like UM,in a talent rich area like south florida, might prevent him from being a D1 DC every again. Unless Al continues to force him down people's throats.

It's a power play. If Blake's got any nads he'll do it. You can't let that fat fck dictate terms to you. I understand not firing him if he comes back with his tail between his legs after getting rejected by PUS. But Blake needs to either make him quit to avoid paying the buyout, or make him change that puke pile he called a defense. Fat Al gave him the perfect opening for the power move.

Fire him for lack of communication with current players and Trustees or force him to fire D' ead on arrival. I wish we would just move on because his heart is obviously not here. Despite his age, I think Butch Davis could get this ship on the Championship path quickly. Would love to see him back at the healm!

Ad hominem aside, why is it bad? Turner has had some **** good offenses, and he's got a good record on player development (i.e. Troy Aikman, Philip Rivers.)

Snyder is still **** good. And Bowden was good till about 72-74, then went quickly downhill. That gives Butch a good 10 years, more than enough to win multiple chips and set the next Coker up for a chip or two.
