The most consistent area of our team this year was OL and the best recruiting haul this year is OL and mainly because of him…yet you want him gone?

and as proven before, unlike Mario the traitor…He Loves the U and will go nowhere else if given the opportunity to stay

His unit gets humiliated and destroyed every time they play a good defensive front.

Under Butch, his unit was very cohesive and rarely substituted. And if they did, it was a position they were locked into. Under Corch Gorldnen, the unit substituted all over the place at multiple positions on the same drives. I thought that philosophy was very flawed for numerous reasons. Overall, without Duke, they were average. With running backs like Crawford and Gus, who seemingly seek out linemen and linebackers to run into and fall down, it was hard to gauge. Add in a QB with zero feel for the game like Morris and all bets are off. I bet an upgrade at QB and with Duke, the O-line would look and play a lot better all of a suddenly out of da woodwerks.

Al. Must. Go.

I'm at the point where my thoughts of finally having a real football coach like Olive Garden are going to put me in the looney bin if PUS rejects that fat fck and he comes waddling back into town like nothing happened.

You're gonna very disappointed when you see the pool of candidates UM goes after.

Carrol won't go.

He will take Paul Williams and Dnofrio.

Jethro will not be retained by next staff. Guy is a loser.

Because Al will keep Larry Johnson on staff. He has been the DL coach for almost 15 years, is very good, and everyone loves him. Really good recruiter.

Poindexter just took the DC job at UConn. He was a DB coach at UVa. Not sure if it is Paul Williams he'd take if he brings in Poindexter.

No I won't.

I was an Al Golden Supporter, but this fat **** needs to **** or get off the pot. Let Coley take over the recruiting if he is flirting with PennSt, even if he doesn't accept. There's less than a month (a week for early entry) left and this time is critical. As a matter of fact, I now hope he goes as I don't see him recovering from this.

All the guy did down here was eat on Donna's nickel. He's probably stuffing his face right now.

Wrong. He managed a crisis. He didn't knock the cover off the ball by any stretch, but this is a FAR better job now than when he took over and he's the main reason for that. If he leaves, I think we'll be fine and should thank him for his work here. It could've been a real **** show over the last few years.

You mean losing to Top 25 teams by an average of more than 30 points during his tenure and fielding record setting , historically awful defenses isn't a **** show? Thank him for his handling of the NCAA mess, but he gets an F+ for his corching.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I think it was pretty bad, but to say he did nothing here is just wrong. Given what he inherited in terms of roster, including the 6-8 guys that left early for no reason, and the NCAA mess, I think a top coach might've won 2-3 games...maybe. Perhaps some of those big loses would've been close losses, but I don't get much out of moral victories.

In fact, change that, a top coach would've bolted and then what've you got? A program you'd have a tough time getting anyone to lead. He took the bullet and we're FAR better positioned to get a really solid coach now because of it. (I don't think we get a top coach on our budget btw, people come here to BECOME top coaches).

Dude...the "NCAA cloud" and "talent" excuses are really old by now. A good/great coach like Butch or Petrino would have never played AJ, Cornelius, Rodgers, etc. They would have rolled with the more talented kids, even if they were inexperienced. We had more than enough young talent to have looked better than we did this year and last.

Ok, DUDE, there's a difference between excuses and actual reasons and issues. You seem, like many on the internet, to feel like it's black and white and want to paint me as a Golden homer. That makes you simple minded. I am not in anyway stating that Golden did a great job...point to where I stated that. My contention is that he's not great, but hasn't been a dumpster fire either. He was, IN FACT, dealt a ****** hand of circumstances at the U. This is indisputable. I can't think of a single coach that's considered a top coach that wouldn't have hit the road and would've been justified in doing so. Ultimately, I hope that Al is to Miami what Zook what to UF...a table setter. If that's how this turns out, I've got no issues with Golden.

As long as he doesn't take barrow Hurley and coley I'm good.

As to this source he really reminds me of Ferman. This stuff isn't true and he reports bs.

You know, years ago I used to subscribe to G&W Recruiting Report. It used to be published by Phil Grosz and another guy whose name I believe was Tom Weber. I used to talk to the guys occasionally.I can remember one night, back about 1989, when i spoke to one of them and he was drunk as ****. It was probably the other guy Weber, but I'm wondering how credible these guys really are. I don't even know if they publish G&W anymore--for all I know, the other guy, Weber (or whatever his name was) might not be around anymore. Come to think of it, this guy Grosz might be the guy who has been publishing the unofficial newspaper or magazine devoted to PSU football all of these years, so he might be more sober. Still, I wonder about the credibility of the sources. Still, if Al is gone, he's gone. I'm not sure his sidekick, Digiorno, was such a good fit at UM anyways. I think Al was more adaptable, but I don't know about Dipinio. (****, his name is a pain, what with that apostrophe, I hate typing it).

As far as Carroll, outside of Kaaya, who else do we have in this class from California? Do we have any of those Serra studs? Anybody else? I mean, anybody can go get a Josh Holmes or a Vaughn Telemaque, but when have we pulled a big name California recruit since Kyle Wright? No big LBs, no big linemen. With all of the activity directed at California, who have we really pulled in? Kaaya was kind of a sleeper who emerged late. Wasn't that Coley's anyway?

I mean it looks nice to have Carroll, and the name and all that, but has he really pulled in the big blue chip from California? We can surely teach somebody else to do the bat signal.

He already **** and the toilet bowl is UM fans, students and current commits/recruits.

I would feel better about this if I felt confident that the administration would make a great hire and commit all available resources to making it the top priority...however past experience dictates that we will somehow bungle it so I am left to be worried and nervous. Petrino would be a freaking awesome hire...however I just can't see the admin putting themselves out there for that much perceived risk. I don't know how to feel about Chud. I want Narduzzi's defense but he has no experience leading a program...Franklin seems like he would be a home run but who knows...

If the admin makes the right hire then this is a net positive. However I just have no confidence in them.

I can't stop watching your avatar. OMG!

If they take Anthony Poindexter he will coach DBs. That means the other coach is most likely jethro and not Paul Williams

I'll be disappointed in Golden stays at this juncture. Three days of radio silence and even listening to a Penn State offer, to either accept the job or leverage a raise here at Miami is pretty tactless. Everything the guy has said has been as hollow as his results on game day.

I'm not even mad. I think we're getting saved, Haith-style.
