you are right. something feels dirty here. lol ee's are too start enrolling monday. recruits have no answer. if he was staying, he would be telling everyone to calm down.

Why is this bad news? This is what we all wanted all along. We're getting some combination of Chud, Butch, Petrino, and Schiano - thats what the experts on the internet say. And when has the internet ever lied?

Man this is really stressing me out. Last time this happened we lost some key players that really could have helped like Teddy B. A lot of you guys are acting like losing a few recruits doesn't matter but some of them could push us back to the top.

Figure the only reason Goldens hasn't publicly pulled his hat from the ring is that he wants the job.


Now, whether or not he's Pedo St's choice remains to be seen.

I really don't think what has to be done is that complicated. We need to hire a coach that won't use this as a stepping stone opportunity. Someone that we won't have to worry about leaving in 2-3 years. Butch is older now, and has had his taste of the next level. He probably kicks himself everyday for leaving the first time. Its been stated that he is hungry to continue coaching. Why not hire him with the understanding that Coley stays on as OC and coach in waiting for when Butch retires. This keeps our current class together, as well as keeping our best recruiter. Coley can learn from Butch as he develops himself into a good OC. Butch can hire who he sees fit as a DC, and switch back to a 4-3 to better suit the talent available in south Florida. Minimal time would be wasted on staff hiring's, so he could jump right into the last weeks of recruiting. This scenario satisfies most of our fans, saves the 2014 class, locks up the best talent evaluator and one of the best recruiters in college football, and puts the defense back were it should be.

bottom line. we all know what butch can turn tracy, deon, aqm, figs, kirby, grace, carter, burns, and the 2014 kids if they stayed into.

But they will never hire butch so why do you bring him up.
