In my opinion...


The honeymoon with Golden was over here. He got us through the sanction period, and once we were free and clear, the BOT/Shalala, knew changes to the coaching staff (D'Nof) were to be made. Pressure was put on Golden not only to get rid of his Best Friend, but he was also under fire after the embarrassment of the last few losses, most notably, Duke and Louisville.

As much as I love Golden as a figurehead of our program, his schematic philosophy and unwillingness to adjust to the style of play that is congruent with So.Fla recruits leaves alot to be desired.

It seems to me Golden figured he could use our fertile recruiting base, and insert it into his NE philosophy, which would create the ultimate mix of scheme and personnel. Unfortunately, you can't take a convict and drop him in the suburbs and expect him to assimilate...

Does he take Coley with him?

I'd like Coley to stay on as OC and Recruiting Coordinator, but not call plays.

I'd be surprised if he took anyone but Dorito with him.

If MediocreCane4Life's coaching predictions are on par with POTUS ones, chances of Cristobal being HC are slim to none

If golden leaves then charlie strong should be the #1 target on our board. Louisville has more money but miami puts him in a better spot to win championships with our talent base.... The money wouldn't even be that huge of a difference because florida's state tax policies...

Not if we bring in Charlie Strong or a big name.. And who cares about losing recruits if they won't be properly coaches when here. How did UF do when they lost all those recruits when Ron Zook was fired.. Urban came right in from Utah and won a title in 2 years... What about Auburn losing recruits after Chizik was fired Malzalhn came right in and coached those players up already on the roster and is in the title game this year. Yes he recruited some of those guys but he still was gone for 2 years...

Not the point genius. The point is **** will freeze over before Strong would take this gig. Or any "big name". Golden is the 7th Highest paid coach in the ACC. LMAO. Im pretty sure Wake Forest pays more than this gig. Aint NO ONE "big" coming here. Were going to get the coach from Fresno State, Northern Illinois, or Mario Cristobal.
