Has he signed on the line that is dotted yet?

Nothing stopping him holding off on inking that contract until Al Golden turns down the Penn St job (if he's offered it).
 
Mike Stoops-Okla might be another option if Golden throw the deuces. More potential for success at Miami than Az.
 
You got to respect the man if he is offered but opts for UM. If that is the case I'll have to stick by him Regardless.

He signed a Financial Aid agreement. It isn't binding but he was planning to be an early entrant. So Golden leaving now would change his life quite a bit.

Well that could be an issue. A guy like Petrino may not have the biggest price tag though after his issues at Arkansas. He's not the choir boy we'll likely get but **** a guy can dream.

I asked on one of the boards a poster replied saying its about 70 Franklin/30 Golden. Funny thing is, they want no part of Coach D. At all.

Yep One poster said, "I dont want Golden. Miami fans are practically begging Golden to leave so he can take his boy D'Onofrio with him. That should tell you all you need to know."

Jim Mcelwain at Colorado State would be a guy I interviewed, assuming we strike out with Strong and Franklin (which we surely would).

Mario. The Stoops that is at Kentucky. Definitely want someone with head coach experience.
 
you don't have to stick by him. you should. Our team with Shannon should have won 3 games. They overachieved and got 5. People think we have some amazing team here and Golden is messing it up with his gameday coaching. That isn't the case.

He has done great things with what he's been given and the amount of talent he is stockpiling is something nobody else outside of Jimbo and Saban can haul in the last few years. Yet everyone still wants to ***** and moan.

It's a process, Gus Malzahn is in the championship game because Chizik dominated the recruiting trail for three straight years and left Malzahn the keys to the porsche. rebuilding takes time, especially when there is the ncaa could.

It's funny how everyone on this board *****ed about the NCAA could when we were all bashing the NCAA, but yet nobody wants to awknowledge that it hindered Golden dramatically and made it almost impossible to recruit - and he still pulled in amazing classes

our senior class this year was average at best and now with another season of training, (and granted hopefully a defensive scheme change) Golden will bring us back to relevancy and 10-11 win seasons consistently.

i know some people just cannot be pleased, but it's getting ridiculous
