He is not leaving patterns show in his career the 4th year is the break out year. Everybody wishing he will leave is just stupid cause Miami will not go after Butch, Pertino, Schiano or Chud. They will go after someone cheap and definitaly not after somebody who left their programs under the microscope.I.E Butch and Petrino.

I was with a BC booster last night who told me that Golden was gone to BC if they offered him 3m last year. TIFWIW as this was still with sanctions uncertainty but if he considered BC seriously he will consider PSU seriously.

Is Cristobal a candidate if Golden bolts? I know the program is more important than one recruiting class but he'd for sure keep Coley, Hurlie, BC and probably Barrow. Need to keep this class together

First I doubt BC was ever in the position to offer 3 mil, but that is debatable. If Al really took that offer seriously than I question whether or not the man can tie his own shoes.......
The drawbacks of the Miami job, is pure and simple a lack of resources, but it is still a place one can go and win big. If you are serious about football BC and Miami arent in the same stratosphere....

BC wasn't in a position to offer him 3m...that's why Golden isn't coaching them...

We are not risking anything. Golden is risking everything he worked for and would be leaving on his own terms. Besides, if we lose a couple of recruits to get the right man that will get us back on the map so be it.

The new coach will probably go through same issues in the recruiting game in SFL that Al is currently experiencing. Throwing out names like Schiano, Davis, Strong and Petrino are just retarded. Also.....Cristibol can suck a fat ****.

Someone like Coley is probably more realistic. I don't think he's a great OC but I think he has great "upside" as a head coach here. He wouldn't be my #1 choice obviously but he's intriguing. I think he'd have the ability to bring in a good staff, play an aggressive style and clean up in recruiting.

Yeah, but the game changes dramatically when you are "the man" (Head Coach University of Miami). Easy to come down here and cherry pick a couple of kids a year. They'd be mother****ing him every chance they get. Oil and water hire IMO.

+1. Can't believe I actually want someone who is a mediocre coordinator but I think he could be a cross between Jimbo and Dabo Sweeney- hire good coordinators, supplemented with massive recruiters. He thinks big and would clean up recruiting. Plus he understands the south Fla mentality.
