That is if a big if the coach would retain them. Most coaches bring in their own people I was surprised that Golden kept Barrow when he came. If whoever they bring in to replace Golden IF he leaves another big if, will have to have some kind of link with the coaches here to keep them.

Petrino did nothing of Ncaa proportions maybe immoral but who hasn't cheated . Save the Holier than Jesus act 2. Butch was cleared of any wrongdoing I would take him I wouldn't mind him leaving if it wasn't for this great class
 
I could careless, no coach is bigger than the team. so if Golden leaves, he really didn't want to be a hurricane.

He was so genuinely hurt, that he got his agent to secure him a new extension......
Lets not act like Al was this victim here. He was blindsided but he used it to his advantage all together. Not to mention he got tons of positive publicity for being this stand up guy. He did what he had to, aint gonna hate, but lets not make him out to be saint francis here....
 
this recruiting class might be too much for him to leave behind but apparently everyone except our fans think highly of him
 
I doubt they offer, but if they do and he takes it, Schiano would be my first choice, with Chud a perfectly acceptable alternative. Schiano could easily keep Coley, which keeps Joe and Kaaya. No way our defensive recruits run from the DC of our last NC team. He would cast those in stone. He has his own NE, especially NJ rep so I doubt it cost us those players. It still snows in Happy Valley. Fate has delivered two NFL HC with ties to THE U as possible replacements. If one can manage to bring Butch onboard the impact on recruiting cannot be measures. Butch, Coley, Hurley oh my!!!!!!!

I was with a BC booster last night who told me that Golden was gone to BC if they offered him 3m last year. TIFWIW as this was still with sanctions uncertainty but if he considered BC seriously he will consider PSU seriously.

Is Cristobal a candidate if Golden bolts? I know the program is more important than one recruiting class but he'd for sure keep Coley, Hurlie, BC and probably Barrow. Need to keep this class together

with this class, if he left us, it would destroy this program. this 2014 class is way too talented.
 
alot of media wants golden to leave because he is well liked. also, there are rumors, psu doesnt want any paterno people because of the scandal.
 
it'll be devastating if Golden bolts. But I can't blame him for leaving for the school he more than likely loves. One major advantage Golden has on his side that those other candidates don't have is Golden's experience dealing with NCAA sanctions and all the negativity that comes with that.. JMO

Look I want to win as much as you do im not saying he can't get it done here but if he can't cut the fat in the process then we aren't winning **** anyway I love what he has done and would love to win with him but if he leaves I believe well find someone who wants this talent that we have put together

First I doubt BC was ever in the position to offer 3 mil, but that is debatable. If Al really took that offer seriously than I question whether or not the man can tie his own shoes.......
The drawbacks of the Miami job, is pure and simple a lack of resources, but it is still a place one can go and win big. If you are serious about football BC and Miami arent in the same stratosphere....
 
Schiano is a prick, but he'd be near the top of my list. Not likely Franklin takes that job, he's the hottest guy out there. Golden will need to make a statement soon if he's staying. I'm sure his agent will be busy today. If I'm PSU I want to have a coach hired by Monday if possible.
