That was reported yesterday. So was Penn State flying down to talk to Golden today.

I agree that if Al does take the job we are gonna be VERY dissappointed with the list of candidates. There will be no Bobby Petrino, No Butch, No Chud, and No Schiano on that list. Donna doesnt have the guts to make a big splash hire like that and resurrect this program. It will be a pool of lower tier BCS coaches (like Al was. A guy trying to make a name for himself at a big school. For instance, a "Curtis Johnson or Mark Stoops" type)

Or it will be some hotshot coordinator like Chad Morris who wants to cut his teeth at a big program. Lets not get ourselves worked up AGAIN only to be let down. We did the same thing when Coker was fired and when Shannon was fired. Only to be let down both times with coaches that were less then desirable hires.

Penn State is well aware of what a liability Dionofro is and will not allow Al to bring him in as his DC. I think Al would negotiate bringing him in as his linebacker coach. I wouldn't be surprised if he brought back Bradley to coach his D if he was still looking to coach.

The only thing that would be funny would be if gets the Penn St job and doesn't take Donofrio and Franklin with him.

Don't worry about Donofrio and Franklin. They will not be retained here, irrespective of whether Golden brings them to PSU.

If he contacted Poindexter it would likely have to be with more than a DB Corch offer, as Poindexter just got the DC gig at UConn. He might have axed him to come in as co-DC.

We've had two HC's who not only wore ties but jackets, too. They also smoked pipes...all in the same 100 degree heat. Both were very successful. You probably wouldn't even know who they were.
