A Miami football staffer who spoke on condition of anonymity told the Miami Herald in a text that Golden told him Friday evening that any reports about Golden leaving Miami for Penn State were “not true.”

**** it just make a decision or come out and say something. That is the only thing that is kissing me off

I can report that #Duke head coach David Cutcliffe has been contacted by Louisville to replace Charlie Strong http://duke.247sports.com/Article/Duke-head-coach-David-Cutcliffe-was-contacted-by-Louisville-169427 …
They better be on top of things and putting out feelers right away.
If we have no coach when the dead period ends we are ***ked.
I am sure coaches are calling into the U now.
LMAO, yeah, just like they were when we canned Randy right??
People VASTLY overestimate the attractiveness of this job. This is NOT an attractive job. It pays cr@p, the fan base sucks, and were going to be on NCAA probation.
Not sure why people havent learned after the last two "hiring processes" that we arent getting some big name coach. The guys calling here may be agents for the coach at NIU, Cristobal, and some NFL coordinators.
Think about this, there were College coordinators who pretty much laughed at us last time.
You have to be the most negative, pessimistic poster on this site
That's really rich, because last week I was the eternal optimist Al Golden slurper who couldnt admit that everything was going down in flames in the program. All Ive done the last month is try to bring reason and sanity and stop people from trashing the staff.
Now, on the verge of landing our best recruiting class in a LONG time, with major ELITE talent at CRITICAL positions that is desperately needed to bring us back, our coach is bolting and that great class he put together is probably going to implode. And based on UM's budget, and its track record on hiring over the last decade, I have NO hope that we are going to get any kind of "****" coach that is going to be able to come in here and hold this class together.
SO....... yeah.... this Golden leaving NOW, has got me pretty f*cking pessimistic. For all of you celebrating this, enjoy it now. I dont think you will be enjoying it for the next few years, when we have to start from scratch with some new and unproven HC, and major holes all over our roster again. We NEED elite talent to come into this program, and we were on the verge of landing a LOT of it. Losing those recruits is going to set us back BIG time.
What is there to leverage? He is signed until 2020 and got a pay increase. What resources is he goimg to ask for if hes not willing to fire dorito? What could he be asking for? Better facilities, done. James is raising 7 million for more improvements. So what else is there to ask for.A Miami football staffer who spoke on condition of anonymity told the Miami Herald in a text that Golden told him Friday evening that any reports about Golden leaving Miami for Penn State were “not true.”

If this is true, then I believe he is interviewing out of respect for Penn State and/or also for leverage for something.
Chris Yandle @ChrisYandle 24s
@birdeleven @MiamiRadioBeast I don't have anything to report. He's still our head coach
Good thing he's getting to the bottom of it.Chris Yandle @ChrisYandle 24s

Not a positive tone
Of COURSE you canIf Strong goes to Texas, then watch out for Tom Jurich. That dude is the best AD in college sports. If UM wants Butch Davis, they better not sleep on him because Jurich will probably hire him 5 minutes after Strong leaves.
oh my, Butch in Louisville would be a problem for sure. An administration that truly cares about sports with Butch. Wow. I would hate it for sure.
Now THAT is very likely to happen. UL doesnt give a F*CK about anything but winning. I can definitely see them hiring Butch.
