May as well start this thread now. I've been saying it for a while: Dorsett will be the biggest riser during the pre-draft circuit. People don't realize how good he is as a route-runner. He may lack wiggle with the ball in his hands, but he's quick as **** without the ball. Below are some assorted comments from the Web and Twitter:

NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah said Philip Dorsett was the "star" of Senior Bowl practice today. "So explosive," Jeremiah said.

Looking for the next John Brown? I'll say it's Miami's Phillip Dorsett. Easy speed, smooth routes. He had a great day today.

Dorsett (5’9.5", 183 lbs) has ridiculous top-end speed, but I was more focused on his route running during Monday’s session. The Miami product looked smooth as he worked up the field, chopped his feet at the top of the route and then accelerated back to the football in the intermediate passing game (curl, dig).

Once Dorsett squares his pads after the catch, it’s easy to see the burst as he pushes the ball through the secondary. Exciting player. Lot of potential here with Dorsett as a wide receiver that can align in multiple positions with game-breaking speed.

Players didn't run a 40-yard dash like they will at the NFL Scouting Combine next month, but many around Mobile are thinking that Dorsett has a good chance to win a race among the top guys at the event. Though he has speed to burn, Tuesday was a chance for him to show he's a complete player and he did that with a number of impressive plays on intermediate and deep routes. "He was best in show at receiver," Jeremiah said. "Explosive guy who was able to turn DBs around. As a route runner, he was able to blow by guys."

Dorsett may have been most impressive offensive player today. Good reads, fluid cuts, great explosiveness

Perryman looks good in coverage

I think that Ladarius Gunter is a really underrated draft commodity. Not too dissimilar from Eric Rowe. Huge corner.

Very impressed with Miami CB Lardarius Gunter. He's physical, has closing ability and showing that he has that Miami swagger.

Denzel Perryman just blew someone up during inside drill

Lardarius Gunter physical once again with DeVante Davis. Jammed him up at the LOS

Like what I have seen of Walford as an in line blocker so far. Shows nice strength and leg drive

WR Phillip Dorsett is just too fast for anyone here. Can break down and separate in any direction. Not just a vertical burner.

Clive Walford checked in with 10.5" hands and 34" arms. That'll help you play with a nice catch radius....

1. Phillip Dorsett = Brandin Cooks 2.0. Book it.

Dorsett gonna shoot up boards, especially with it basically being the year of small fast receivers in the NFL this past season. Gonna see alot of next antonio brown and TY Hilton in his reports and that will do nothing but help his draft position. Good for him!
 
Dorsett was one of my favorite players the past four years. Didn't say too much vocally, but glad to see he's recovered. 2 games stand out to me though

The 2 touchdowns dropped versus Notre Dame
The catch versus NC state.. huge catch

From the start of the year i felt he would be a higher draft pic than his counterpart from sta..

He doesnt have wiggle with the ball...but dude runs good to great routes...which would constantly get him open in the right offense....dude would kill in GB...

Dorsett is a faster Eddie Royal imo. Less wiggle..more burn..and solid hands and wilingness to block. Plus has return capability though we know not as good as our former guys...

**** Trav Benjamin is loooking solid with his chances in Cleveland..and Hurnsy killed it for the Jags....Dorsett pushing himself in top 2 rd category with agood sr day....dude closcks anywhere near that 4.3 and t hats all she wrote....Guarantee Highsmith is in their ear bout him ...especially with Cobb being a free agent

The 2015 NFL Draft is again loaded at wide receiver and that was proven during Tuesday's practice. Arguably no one had a better day than Miami's Phillip Dorsett. He's easy fast, meaning that it doesn't take him much effort to get into top gear. Considering that he might be the fastest player in the draft, it was impressive watching Dorsett zip through routes. He caught almost everything thrown at him and quickly learned from the coaching of Jacksonville Jaguars wide receivers coach Jerry Sullivan.

Sullivan told me after practice that he especially liked Dorsett, Coates and Kansas State's Tyler Lockett.

"From a first day observation, he's got good tools," Sullivan said of Dorsett. "I'd just like to see him track the ball better and improve during the week."

Dorsett spent a lot of time after practice interviewing with an Atlanta Falcons scout.


Miami cornerback Ladarius Gunter is someone who has the size and skills, and he showed it when getting his long arms on a receiver on a press. He completely blew up a play involving UNLV's Devante Davis solely by jamming him at the line. But Gunter struggled against speedy receivers.

Miami listed linebacker Denzel Perryman at 6 feet, but he came in at 5’10 5/8.

•University of Miami tight end Clive Walford is an intriguing prospect. He has good size, hands and runs good routes, but Walford didn’t get many opportunities on Tuesday. Walford spent most of his time blocking, which is an area he needs to work on.

Wow, so Perryman is only 1 inch taller than Dorsett. He plays and looks so much bigger. Amazing that he can carry 240 lbs on a 5'10.5" frame and still be so athletic
