**OFFICIAL RICHT HIRE A DEDICATED OC THREAD**

Still running RPOs with a slow af QB.

It's a Run-Pass Option.

Yeah? How'd that work out this season?

Worked fine when the QB made the correct read. Either way, has little to do with the QB's mobility.

Worked fine, huh? I guess we are watching a different team.

Running an run/pass option, with a QB who is less mobile than Dorsey, isn't a smart thing to do. This is far more effective with a mobile QB. You're putting blame on Kaaya to justify Richt forcing a system with the personnel we don't have.

What does mobility have to do with it?

It's about numbers in the box. You either hand off to the RB, or throw the ball.

Mobility provides a third option for the QB to run the ball should the D be there to stuff the run like they have done to us repeatedly. The system is less effective with a run/pass option simply. Kaaya is more effective passing the ball with his feet settled. Hence, this system doesn't work with Kaaya and our putrid OL. Richt is responsible for the system and isn't putting our players in position to be successful.

Wouldn't that be RPRO? Or what other call a triple option. You know, rb run, pass, or qb run.

You get that you're supposed to decide if the D is there to stuff the run before the play, right?

But you don't need mobility to run a successful RPO. It's just a way to get a play-action element from the gun, which I thought people would be in favor of because they balk any time we line up under center.

Yes, I understand your point. However, please read my edits in previous post.

I know its been a few years since EA Sports gave you great play callers a new NCAA game so I'll forgive you for being out of practice. The Run-Pass-Option is not a Read-Option

I read your edits, and it still doesn't refute the point that you don't need mobility to run an RPO.

The irrational hatred of that concept is baffling to me. People want Brad in the gun because he can't play under center. Okay, fine. This is just a way to get a play-action element so we're not running into 8-man boxes, or passing against 8-man zones. Brad can't play under center. He can't run an RPO. He can't run, period. I'm not sure how you build an offense around a guy who can't handle such basic things.
