Kansas did everything right to kill 8 seconds and only leave St John’s with 3.8 inbounding backcourt and then just…. fell asleep. Insane.
 
Jai Lucas played for and started his career under Rick Barnes. Tennessee rebounds 45% of their misses. This type of athletic, defensive first team is the model for what Lucas is building. Glad to see them succeeding in flustering UVA.

Tennessee controlled the game for the vast majority of time. UVA couldn’t generate many open looks, and missed a bunch of the ones they go

The ACC has had a team make the final four 4 straight years; 5 times in that span w/ 4 different program…most teams in the elite 8 + sweet 16 in 2024, most elite 8 teams in 2022 w/3 and no other conference had more than 1; 5 ACC programs have won championships in the 21st century, 9 championships in total; …… the onus is not on our conference to prove themselves.

The Big Ten hasn’t had a champion since Michigan State in 2000. SEC has UF and UK and Calipari. Before UF won last year, no SEC team made the championship game since 2014.

Since the pandemic, the Big12 has 3 FF teams. The ACC has 5. Big East has 3. Big Ten has 1. SEC has 3.
