Unfortunately we're dealing with a combination of incompetence and apathy stemming from the worst administration in the country. There's no guarantee that even another pathetic season gets him fired. If nobody gets arrested and everyone graduates...it's even money he's retained even if he only wins 5 or 6 games.

well, I don't know about the "nobody gets arrested" piece. Seems like Al has had to deal with his share. Haven't run the numbers, but with 100 20 year olds to babysit, it's inevitable that there will be knuckleheads. Can't really say whether Al has had statistically significantly more or less under his tenure. I will say I think that's the perception or the view/hope of the administration. Don't know if it's reality.

But I would agree, the way this seems to be going, he could be here again with a 6 win season. SMDH.

I would hope that Butch would be on a short list of candidates if there is a coaching change at seasons end.

we have the worst coaching staff in D1 and Al Golden has destroyed the identity of UM football. we play a pathetic "brand" of soft unwatchable defense, and we'll NEVER win anything with Golden coaching.

the fact that he has only beaten 1 team in his whole career with less than 5 losses is staggering.

please bring back Butch NOW

If any UM admin/BOT read this board:

You're part of the worst administration in the entire ******* country. You're a disgrace to humanity and should probably kill yourself. If you choose to actually do something to fix this cluster**** you've self imposed on the program...start by getting a REAL ATHLETIC DIRECTOR and then grant said athletic director autonomy to actually run the program like a REAL ******* PROGRAM. Let that AD select a quality head coach.

You've made 3 ****** hires in a row....you're due to do something right.

Golden can take four-star players and have them playing at one-star levels in no time.

That is a genius.

Our BOT can take a premier program and run it right into the toilet.

That too, takes real genius.

You say that like it wasn't their goal all along. Servile, docile, smiling, non-threatening players are what UM wants.
 
Golden has our Defense playing like they're stoned on Prozac, and our Offense playing like they're on acid.

Wish he'd make up his mind.

Golden is only going into his 2nd year .... cut him some slack. Send him a dozen (or three) doughnuts to show your support.
 
Now is 2015 Golden's first year, or is 2016 Golden's first year?

I can't keep all this time warping straight.
