*** Official Beat Joe Green Thread ***

Thoughts on my underdog contest pick this week? Looking at these games. And I haven't hit one in a while so I'm like 20 points behind, so a big score would be nice. Not listed in any order or anything. Seems like several decent sized home dogs this week. Not sure that I actually like any of em though. lol.

Middle Tenn +9.5 at WKU
Kentucky +8.5 Vandy
Maryland +7 Ga Tech
LSU +10 Bama
Pitt +17 at Notre Dame
Miss State +7 A&M

I'd go Miss St. Physical teams have given A+M some problems this year like Florida and LSU. Not that Miss St is on that level but I think they'll give them a game

Will have some picks posted later

LSU always has a chance to beat Bama.

Maryland has lost all 4 of their QB's on the roster to ACL injuries. They are starting a linebacker at QB. I think Georgia Tech covers as Maryland can't score.

Is Pitt good enough to compete with ND? The Irish are riding so high these days could be a look ahead type deal, and it is 17 points. Just have a feeling that game might be tight.

I had good success with RLM is college last year, especially early. I usually stay away from the NBA.

If anyone likes to read about successful sports bettors look up Haralabus Valgarius (spelling?). He was also a former poker player. He only plays the NBA and is really successful at it. He quit for a few years to try and get a front office job but is back betting again. One of the first to understand the importance of the corner 3. He's a somewhat legend in poker and nba circles. Interesting guy.

After some deep thinking and time off:

Eastern Michigan +17.5
LSU U42.5
LSU +10.5
Wake Forest -3
Miami(OH) +3
Starship O71
Oregon -6
Oregon O68

I don't see it.

neither do I. I think Oregon routs USC. The speed they play at, plus the fact that USC is not very deep at all is a recipe for disaster for them. I also like the over

Yeah, I completely agree, and I'd throw more on it, but....

I'm still shell-shocked from Oklahoma last weekend. I can't believe they lost to such an inferior Notre Dame team. It has really shaken my confidence.

At the risk of sounding like a ****, i think you should stay the course. You got a bit unlucky or you made a bad play. You have to clear your mind, and if you can, keep doing what you have done all season long. Just my two cents.

Thanks, I needed that slap in the face. Doing great on the year but I was so convinced Oklahoma was going to roll on Saturday. That combined with me only seeing a few spreads pop out got me really down on myself.

Here's hoping EMU gives me a lift tomorrow night. Ohio is a rock solid team, but IMO, they're not good enough defensively or explosive enough offensively to blow anyone out. Tettleton is a player but they really miss Brazil out wide. EMU isn't bad...I think they keep it close.

By the way guys---don't let me over analyze the national championship game when that comes around. If Bama is in it, remind me not to bet against them. It's either Bama or a no play at this point on a neutral field no matter the spread or opponent.
