that worries me, but means they'll attempt to open up the passing game which I think will leave Cal exposed. Cal is god awful, having been beasted on by Nevada and Southern Utha was able to put 31 on them, and 300 yards passing. Throw in fact that Ohio State struggled with UCF last week, which undoubtedly caused the ire of Urban Meyer (he was throwing his headset in the 4th quarter up three scores on failed execution on offense), along with fact that California goes West to East (always bad- especially for them), and is playing a noon start which is something OSU is well acquainted with while will feel like 9am to the bears. Cal also has USC next week, which is always on their minds, while Ohio State has UAB next week, so attention for Buckeyes on the Bears.
Every way I look, I like Ohio State which means they'll struggle today, but I'm riding on it anyway.
Last time Cal went West to East, they were on road at Maryland for a noon start. Cal coming wins against Michigan State and Wazzou, ranked, taking on afterthought Maryland. Maryland jumped on them 21-6 at the half, and held on to win as an outright underdog.
And just to add to the Ohio State play. Urban wins something like 80% ATS in nonconference games. He lost one last week ATS. Can't see it happening two weeks in a row.
