*** Official Beat Joe Green Thread ***

I got my first middle last night and won all three bets. It's a niice feeling to wake up to.

Penn State will be emotionally fragile. The first 10 minutes of the game will determine who wins in that one.

Personally I am staying away as I find it hard to project college kids' emotions after extenuating circumstances like this.

If I was forced to bet I'd take Penn State this week and fade the **** out of them next.

I took a bit of a break after Hawaii submarined my Saturday.

I hit on both Tuesday games and was about to pull the trigger on Miami (OH) last night but didn't because I'm an idiot. Beating myself up for that one.

It is like this every year in the MAC. There are the "haves" and "have-nots" and usually the only thing separating them are a playmaker or two on offense. If two "haves" are playing each other, take the points. If its a mismatch, lay the points for the favorites. It just takes about 8 weeks to sort out a team's classification. The haves:
NIU
Toledo
Ohio
Miami (OH)
Western Michigan
Temple
Eastern Michigan (wait whhhaattt?)

Also of note, lean towards teams with more to play for.
Playing Ohio -7 tonight on that strategy and Houston -34 because Tulane is awful.

The Houston team over is at 54 (always a possible play and miracle hit last weekend), but the -34 scares me. That D is god awful...

Now the ohio game is delicious! I got it at -6.5

We aren't talkin about Penn State going into a game against Indiana...they are going against a Top 25 team that was favored to win regardless...

I just don't know how Pedo State rallies the troops and wins this game and the spread is so low (line is up to 4.5 on my book, btw) to a team as good as Nebraska.

Usually when there's a monkey wrench situation (injury, suspension, team turmoil, etc.) that greatly moves the line in one direction... the smart play is to wait as long as possible and play the other side.

This codicil has been a proven long term money maker in the NBA when a team announces an injury to a big name player the afternoon of a game.

My system plays for this weekend:
Nebraska -2.5
NW -15
BC +3
AF -13.5
FSU -9
Georgia -13.5
A+M -4.5
Wisconsin -26.5
UAB -4.5
Mississippi +1
Fresno -7.5
UCF +9.5

Plays I like:
Nebraska
Wisconsin
Miami
KState
Navy

LOL.

Houston is going to hit the O all by themselves. Hit a 78.5 O with 11m left...dem Cougs slay me. lol.

Anyone else like the Cuse USF game tonight? Trying to focus my thoughts on the game. Cuse at home on a Friday night may be a tough game for USF. Thinking different scenarios for points tonight. Am I the only one who defaults to over and then tries to get talked out of over? In finding I like overs alot these days.

Houston came in last night for me, they're a rocketship play every week, team total

This week I'm playing
Nebraska
Miami
Michigan
Tulsa
Texas
Wisconsin
