Any thoughts on Kentucky vs Duke tonight?

These were my cbb picks today (I usually keep them in the cbb thread).

Temple -3.5 Kent State
Butler -4.5 Xavier
Michigan State +3.5 Kansas
Wichita State +9 VCU

BYU -13 Georgia State
Miss State -5 Fla Atlantic
Duke -3 Kentucky

Temple already rolled. But Butler is down at the half by 7 I think.

I like Duke for a few reasons. One, they have upperclassmen, while KY is all freshmen and new guys, and Kentucky is just farther what they will ultimately be at this point of the season. Kentucky is going to be really good by the end, but right now they have a long way to go.

Harrow isn't supposed to play cause of the flu. And Mays' eye swelled up on him yesterday and no one knows how much that limits his effectiveness. Come March I would easily take KY. Right now though I think Duke gets it done.

Really like Toledo +10.5 tonight. Have 2* on it. I think they are every bit as good as NIU and both teams have tons to play for....the winner wins their MAC division. Even if they get beat bad ther offense is good enough to backdoor cover.

Tomorrow I have Virginia +4.5.

More plays to come. Japan, tell me why that La Tech over wont hit?

moar picks, MOAR!!!!

I post them pretty much daily in the cbb thread. I'll try to remember to put them over here too if I get the opportunity.

But you better be careful following mine, or anyones, cbb picks this early in the year. There's too much guesswork. All you have to go off of is reports of stuff, and guessing what players and teams improved. I don't ever feel that confident this early on. Once I get a chance to see a lot of teams play I feel much better about it.

Usually struggle in November, because of guessing at too many things. Then usually have a good December, because seen some teams and the lines are often still skewed some games. Then usually okay in January when conference play starts. Then I tend to cut back a lot in February. Because at that point the teams are so familiar with each other and so well scouted, and the lines are on the money a lot of the time. And the grind sets in and often it can be just whatever team is freshest and feeling good that night that rolls. Then the tournaments is usually where I do by far the best. Usually do way better in the tournaments than any other time of the year.

LT has really played conservative recently. They won me a boatload of $$ early in the season and have really struggled in the last 3 or 4 weeks

I like Toledo as well. Underdogs in MAC games have been good this year.
