Is there any way that this is accurate?
Actually, there were some TV angles that didn't make the crowd look so bad. But no way we were this close to a sellout.
I wasn't there so I don't know.

In person it looked average to below average. Maybe 45k

Hardrock stadium has a lot of amenities around the stadiums. Bars by every ramp on each level that you can see the field from. A big reason why you always see empty seats even during a sellout. Meanwhile you go to Gainesville and the only ammenty besides the game is the local PBR stand selling nathans hotdogs.

Ummm..I was surprised we had that many in attendance. This was a low level opponent on a Saturday night after a bad loss. I really expected it to be 35-40k. It was a very good crowd. Anyone who says otherwise I question if you were there

Ya, considering the context, I was surprised we got as many as we did. If we can beat SMU, then Syracuse and NCSU should be well-attended games.

Could be our best season actual attendance-wise since 2002.

The DJ scares about 10,000 people out of the stadium midway thru the 1st quarter, too.

It's always ticketed attendance, so it includes people who bought season tickets even if they only wanted a handful of games.

Looked like 45-50K butts in seats to me

The student section seriously needs to be moved to the upper corner of the stadium. They’re a complete disgrace

It would be cool if the powers-that-be found a way to give some of the student seating to local little League organizations, including Boy and Girl scouts and Pop Warner/Optimist organizations. At least for the 1-2 less desirable home games, because seeing that empty space on TV is an eye-sore.

I agree. Would fill in those seats and hopefully create new fans in the process

The attendance has actually been very very good this year. The ND / UF games obviously sold out or at near full capacity. USF / Louisville looked very full on TV as well. And like others have said, strong showing against a weak opponent after a loss. Kudos to the fans, aside from the students.
