***OFFICAIL NCAA SWEET SIXTEEN GAME THREAD VS BUTLER***

We are getting open shots and just not making them, it's not like the team just laid down for Marquette. It just wasn't our night.

This sums it up. Forget Reggie, nerves, etc. Shots not falling.

I don't see it that way. There is a difference between "shots are not falling" or "having a bad night" and not giving effort. Lack of effort and energy is evident by the difference in the rebounding and turn over between the two teams. I would be content if we lose after putting everything on the line and fighting for every loose ball and winning the rebounding battles. That's not the case.

Disagree. Effort always seems to appear high when 3 pointers are going in.

Durand gets murdered every time he takes it strong to the rim. And then Gamble's putback just rims out yet again.

Again, it just isn't our night. What can you do when the shots are halfway in and come out?

Guys trying to do too much. Noone has settled in. Not doing what we've been doing to get us here. All that combined with JUST ONE OF THOSE NIGHTS. It's games like these where you really have to be focused and execute your game. Miami's success has been mostly because of its defense and they just havent done that well. All the bounces are going their way. We block a shot they recover. We tip a rebound it rims out. They get breathed on its a foul, Durand gets murdered on his way to the basket no call. Nothing is going our way. Everything is going theirs. Nothing you can do.

Kinda had a feeling our shooting was going to suck. Idk why. Something from that video of practice yesterday. We were missing shots a ton then too.

Turn out the lights, the party is over. Great season, great team and lot of excitement. We all should be proud of the accomplishments of this team.
