Offensive play of the year

ball should have never been thrown. just a poor choice of a target that went stupidly correct. game winning throw but just dumb dumb. if it was dropped, the title would have been "worst offensive play of the year".

Single coverage on 6’2 receiver is the right play.

Off yourself

It's the moment of the year for sure, but game could have been won without that play.

I actually think the play of the year was Langham against Georgia Tech. He doesn't make that Miracle 4th down catch we lose that game and the season takes on a whole new vibe, and not a good one.

I get what you're saying, but FSU turned into an absolute train wreck, and the loss to us helped that happen. Beating FSU was huge.

I have grandkids who had not seen Miami beat fsu. Last second in Tally for the win and complete dejection of nole fans -- most important play since Ken's pass lo those many years ago. Jimbo's agent probably called A&M that night and said yes.

The GT game ignited the home crowd for sure but nobody will remember that we even played GT. Miami win in tally like that was bigger than getting to the ACC title game. Day in and day out, fsu is the team that matters to us and that play flipped the table on them. They won games like that the last few years, now we won like we always use to.

This comment is related to another thread involving recruiting rankings, but this game-winning play of the year for us was made by a 3 star recruit one on one against a 5 star cornerback from American Heritage...

Relatively safe throw to the pylon.
:06 seconds left after the play.
If it were dropped, we kick the FG.
But we went for the win...and got it.

Play of the year.
No doubt.

I was at the game in the FSU section. The silence after the catch was amazing. Then they saw the replay and thought he was short. They started talking **** and then it was ruled a TD, more silence

Its a contender, but without the FSU catch, the season would have already taken on a whole new vibe. Imagine a loss at FSU.

Then again, without the GT catch, the effects would probably be the same, plus Richt's meltdown onsides kick could have been his albatross for life.

I say its a tie. Both catches are the play of the year.

BTW, why didnt he see more plays after that? Especially considering we couldnt catch a pass the next two games against Cuse and UNC.

Rosier is a legend. It's for sure time for another QB next season but that play alone is enough to put him above the Kaaya's of the world. Best part was how he laughed and grabbed his helmet after fsu scored a minute before. Gutsy

lol I'm sorry but people like jonnyblaze are so dumb. Comes on a Canes forum and basically says the GT game was bigger than snapping the Noles neck in Tally.
